Maccas Synthetic Grasses Our Turf division maintains sports fields, golf courses with Aeration, Topdressing, Laser Levelling, All sports catered for.

Maccas Group of companies has been operating in North Queensland since 1999. We service Cairns, Townsville, Mackay, Mt Isa and Rockhampton areas. Some of the projects already completed by Maccas Synthetic Grasses include medium strips, backyards, highrise / commercial building surroundings, playgrounds, school and kindergarten play areas. General uses of synthetic grass, sometimes called ‘fake gra

ss’ or ‘astroturf’, include: Backyards, frontyards, pool surrounds, childcare centres, schools, cricket pitches, tennis courts, golf putting greens, traffic islands and roundabouts. If you said yes to the above questions - an apprenticeship in Horticulture, Certificate III in Sports Turf Management Is the trade for you!

Maccas Sports Turf has been the leader in Sports Turf Management for over 20 years and is looking for an apprentice to come on board in Townsville and join the Townsville Operations team.

Completing a Certificate III in Sports Turf Management will see you as a qualified Greenkeeper. Greenkeepers are responsible for preparing surfaces for play. This includes growing and maintaining grass on sports fields or greens, for example golf ranges, turf wickets, bowling greens, general sports fields, schools and parks.

What we are looking for:
• Commitment to safety
• Have a driver's licence
• Willing to learn and able to take instruction
• Dedicated and committed to training contract
• Physically fit
• Reliable and punctual
