All Cannons Supporters are invited to celebrate the end of the senior season!! Juniors, players, coaches, family members and anyone that supports Cannons. A free drink will be given to all senior players and all Junior and Senior Coaches that attend on the day. Nibblie platters will also be provided. Come watch some grand finals and cheer on our senior Men and Womens teams

The last regular game of the season was held this week for all our senior teams. As such each team nominated their award winners and they were presented with the prize at their last game, a gift card from Brothers Leagues Club.

A huge thanks to Brothers Leagues Club Townsville for their ongoing support of our club!! Keep an eye out for some of these faces in your quality establishment and i encourage everyone else to get down and support Brothers Leagues Club and all our Sponsors.

🏆💙 2026 CANNONS SPECIAL AWARDS 💙🏆

Each year at our Junior Presentation Day, two very special trophies are presented. Awards that recognise the people and teams who embody what Cannons Basketball Club is all about.

💙 Danice Weiden “DC” Memorial Trophy – Club Member of the Year

This special trophy recognises a club member who goes above and beyond for Cannons. Giving their time, energy and commitment to help make our club what it is.

As our President Brooke Harris-Foord acknowledged on Sunday, this is never an easy award to choose, with so many wonderful people dedicating countless hours to our club.

Our 2026 recipient has been a member of the Cannons committee for a few years, is always willing to lend a hand, keeps our social media pages looking amazing and up to date and currently serves as our Club Secretary.

🏆 Congratulations to Michelle Clark — our 2026 Club Member of the Year!

And in a slightly funny turn of events, Michelle was busy filming the presentation from right in the middle of the crowd when her own name was announced… 🫣😂💙

🏆 Dr Richard Keyes Perpetual Trophy – Cannons Spirit Award

This trophy celebrates the Cannons spirit. Recognising a team that consistently demonstrates commitment, teamwork, enthusiasm and pride in representing our club.

This year's recipients are a group who turn up to training, give their all and have grown together through Cannons since they were quite young. Now playing U18s, they continue to demonstrate exactly what this award represents.

🏆🏀 2026 Cannons Junior Presentation Day 🏀🏆

What a fabulous afternoon celebrating our Cannons juniors! 💙🤍

On Sunday, we came together at Northern Beaches Leisure Centre for our 2026 Junior Presentation Day and what an incredible turnout! It was one of our biggest presentation days in a long time, and it was fantastic to have so many of our players and families there celebrating with us.

Our U8–U12 players were each presented with a medal in recognition of their season 🏅
With our U14–U18/19 teams celebrated players who received individual team awards recognising their achievements, improvement, commitment and contribution throughout the season 🏆

Presentation Day is about so much more than trophies and medals. It’s an opportunity to celebrate another season of basketball, the development of our players, the friendships made along the way and the coaches, managers, volunteers and families who make it all possible.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who joined us and helped make the afternoon such a success. Seeing so many members of our Cannons family together was pretty special 💙🤍

Congratulations to all of our players on another fantastic season! 👏🏀

‼️ IMPORTANT END OF SEASON INFO ‼️

This weekend is the last week of regular season games HOWEVER, as per previous years, all junior teams will play the first week of finals after this last round.

This includes u8s through to u18/u19s

🏀 The Weekend of September the 4th, 5th and 6th will be the official last round for all teams that do not make the Grand Final.

🥇🥈 All Junior Grand Final Games will be played on SATURDAY the 12th September.

🎽 Please make sure to return your playing singlets (unless personalised) to your coach at your last game.

📣 Coaches no need to wash uniforms, please place your FULL set in your team bag and into the BLUE CANNONS WHEELIE BIN on Court 2. A message has been placed on the coaches page with the code for the padlock.

It is VERY important we get all our singlets back so we can prepare for the next season.
