A big day for the Danaher's today. In our 4th grade match versus Wanderers Cricket Club dad Mark scores a century and son Josh picked up 3fa including his first wicket in senior cricket. Other notables performances this weekend include Vikram with 70 in 2nds, Scotty with a 5fa in seconds, Luke with 82 in 3rds and Buta with 87 also in 3rds. A big weekend of wins for the Barra's across all of our senior grades.

Our Northern Beaches girls have done us proud💛💚

Darcy, Charlie and Mackenzie have spent the week on the Sunshine Coast representing Northern at the Queensland Representative School Sport 10–12 Years Girls Cricket State Championships — and what a week it’s been!

🌟 Darcy took on her first representative cricket carnival and wasted no time leaving her mark, taking 2 wickets in the opening game!

🚀 Charlie, our little pocket rocket, was everywhere! Busy in the field, finding some sneaky runs with the bat and putting together an awesome spell with the ball, taking 2–17!

🏏 Mackenzie also had an opening game to remember, pulling off a cracking caught and bowled! Then in the final game, with the nerves starting to show, she kept her cool and helped settle the girls, playing her part in bringing home a win to finish the carnival.

Three Northern Beaches girls representing their region at Queensland School Sport level, gaining experience, making memories and doing their club proud. 💙

We can’t wait to see what these girls — and all of our NBCC juniors — bring to the field this season!

Both Blast & Smash Series will begin in the second week of Term 4 (from the week of October 12).

More Info:
Blast Cricket: Club-based one-hour after-school program for boys and girls aged 5-8 years (check individual clubs for which weekday). A fun-first program designed for kids new to the sport to learn through exciting activities and modified games. It’s all about smiles, high-fives and building a love for cricket. Participants receive a Blast shirt, hat, bat and ball as part of registration.

Junior Smash Series: A modified cricket competition for boys and girls aged 8-10. Played with a rubber ball, so no protective equipment required. Everyone gets to bat, to bowl and field in every position in a fast-paced (75 minutes), super-fun format played at Endeavour Park (Annandale) on Friday afternoons from 4.45pm. Most clubs also hold a training session during the week. All playing equipment provided. Participants receive a club playing shirt as part of registration.
