Northern Beaches Cricket Club, founded in the 08/09 season, we are the youngest club competing in the local Townsville cricket competition.

Northern Beaches Cricket Club Inc is situated in the growing Northern Beaches region of Townsville, located at Kilcora Park in the suburb of Mt Low. The club was first launched in 2008/09 with one under 14 team. The club has moved forward over the last few years with 4 senior men's teams, 1 senior women's team, junior Milo cricket program and 3 junior teams. In the 13/14 season the club won its fi

rst piece of silverware coming runner up in the 3rd Grade mens competition. We are growing each season and now have fully established junior and senior fields at our home ground.

What a fantastic day out at Kilcora this afternoon. The Northern Rivers O40s Masters team going down by just 12 runs chasing 287. Well done to Nathan who picked up a 5fa! 50s to Adrian, Peter and Manni almost got us home in the run chase. A big thank you to Will and Jack for running canteen today and keeping both teams hydrated by running drinks!

This week is national volunteers week! We are an entirely volunteer run community organisation. Our club is built on the dedication of our volunteers. So thank you to our coaches, scorers, umpires, administrators, grounds-people, canteen helpers, bbq chefs, zooper dooper cutters, chief encouragement officers, wildlife tamers, raffle-ticket sellers, construction novices, and anyone else who helped strengthen the club this year and in the past. An especially huge shout out to club secretary, Aleisha who was nominated in this year's North Queensland Volunteers awards. The hard work of everyone is what makes our club awesome!

Keen to increase your umpiring knowlege and get a better insight into the game? Then come along to Saturday's Intro to Umpiring. It's open to anyone and everyone. No need to register, just turn up.

For those wanting to take the next step and earn your Level 1 Umpire Accreditation, you can do that too.

There is an online component (About 40 mins) but it can be completed after the Face-to-Face session on Saturday.

If you are eager to start the process online, Follow these steps:
1. Navigate to https://play.cricket.com.au/learn/umpire
2. Click on the yellow button “Access PlayCricket Learn”.
3. On the next screen, click on the yellow [LOGIN] button, and then sign in using your email and password.
4. Once logged in, click on the yellow [Get Started] button for Umpires and then select Community Umpire Accreditation when it appears. Click on Enrol and then scroll down to Community Officiating Online Module.
5. The learning material can be completed all in one session or in multiple sessions, according to participant needs. Please don’t proactively close any tabs or pop up windows, as these track progress through the learning.
6. Once the online component is completed, participants can then sign up for the Face-to-Face workshop and pay the $40.00 accreditation fee to Cricket Australia

Three fun-filled days of action-packed cricket coaching to help develop your child's game for the new season.

Boys and Girls who were registered to a club or association in the 2025/26 cricket season and are aged 11 – 16 years can attend this amazing cricket development opportunity. Please note: Youngest players MUST turn 11 in 2026 (Born in 2015)
