This is Wheelchair Rugby League

What you don’t see in this photo is a non-disabled player talking to a disabled player. You don’t see age as a barrier. You don’t see ability as a barrier. You don’t see gender as a barrier, with male players visible in the background.

What you do see is two people sharing a moment, playing a sport together, and experiencing the game on equal terms. You see joy, connection, and competition.

You see a wheelchair not as a limitation, but as a piece of equipment just like a football, a goalpost, or a jersey. It’s not about disability. It’s about the game.

We are proud to announce the 2025 Queensland City vs Country teams. With only 54 days remaining until the clash we don’t have to wait long.
Both squads are locked in with 8 starting players, a Head Injury/Foul Play Replacement ready to step in if needed, and a Shadow Player who will only be activated if another player is unable to compete.
City will be led by Coach Jamie Manwarring, while Country will be under the guidance of Coach Jeff Wright.
