Every year North Queensland locals Jim & Rhonda Barnes host two Natural Bodybuilding, Figure & Fitness Competitions under the ANB banner here in Townsville. The Coral Coast Classic usually held between April-June & The North Queensland Naturals usually held in September or October tying
in with the ANB Queensland & National competitions. They are also very excited to be holding two more competitions in Mackay starting in 2016, the season A show will be The South Pacific Championships & the season B show will be the Queensland Regionals, dates will correspond with the Townsville shows either a week before or after see our page for more details. Gymnasium owners Jim & Rhonda Barnes have been hosting Bodybuilding competitions in the North since the early 1980's after competing for many years themselves their passion for bodybuilding lead them to start holding competitions to give local bodybuilders a chance to showcase their hard work & talent, since then the competitions have gone in leaps and bounds and now attract upwards of 90 quality competitors from all over Australia to each show twice a year.
