Ever wondered who’s helping golfers at Townsville Golf Club take their game to the next level?

Meet Josh — one of our PGA Associates, passionate about helping golfers improve their game and build confidence on the course.

Josh’s love for golf started at home, with a cut-down club and a back wall that eventually convinced Mum and Dad it was time to take him to the golf course!

We asked him a few questions to get to know the person behind the lessons 👇

The Mind-Boggling Odds
Average Amateur Ace - Stand at roughly 12,500 to 1 for a single round.

Two Aces on the Same Hole in One Day -Skyrockets to an astronomical 17,000,000 to 1!

The Month’s Hall of Fame
Bob Prosser (Hole 18): Capped off his round in style by acing the 18th hole using a Driver!

Dan Ryan (Hole 3): Celebrated his first-ever ace after 40 years of golf, perfectly sticking a 152m shot with a 6 Iron.

Dei Matthews (Hole 15): Sunk a remarkable 6th career Hole-in-One during the 2 Person Ambrose Cancer Charity Day.

Justin Wright (Hole 15): Defied the odds by acing the very same hole on the exact same day alongside Dei!

While the odds of hitting a hole-in-one are slim to none, putting in the practice is the best way to beat them.

It’s almost tee time! 🙌 The Shine Lawyers & Brighter Lives Charity Golf Day is happening this Friday at Townsville Golf Club — and thanks to our amazing North Queensland community, we’re officially SOLD OUT! 🎉🏌️‍♀️🏌️‍♂️

Brighter Lives is a Townsville-based charity with a big heart and a local focus — with 100% of funds raised staying right here in North Queensland, helping support better healthcare for our local community. 💙

So, while there’ll be plenty of laughs, friendly competition, a few “that definitely wasn’t my ball” moments 😂 and hopefully some cracking shots, the real winner on the day will be local healthcare.
