Townsville North Star Athletics Club

Townsville North Star Athletics Club Established in 1962, the Townsville North Star Athletics Club (TNS) is Townsville’s premier track and field club. New members and enquiries are always welcome ☺

The association is coordinated by a number of generous volunteers who donate their time to ensure the club continues to benefit the wider Townsville community. TNS provides an affordable, community based active outlet and caters for individuals of all capabilities and ages from five years onwards. TNS accepts 'Get Started Vouchers' and the club is affiliated with Athletics North Queensland, which affords members the eligibility to compete at any Athletics Australia sanctioned events nation wide. TNS has a number of accredited coaches associated with the club who specialise in mentoring a variety of age groups, track and field events and para-athletes (athletes with a disability). Over the years TNS has produced a large quantity of noteworthy athletes that have competed and medalled at state, national and international competitions. Whether you’re looking to make new friends, enjoy an active lifestyle or compete at the next Olympic Games, Townsville North Star Athletics Club will have an event to suit you or your child.

💥 THAT’S A WRAP ON THE 2026 SEASON! 💥

What a way to finish! Our final Club Meet was a night full of fun, laughs and some seriously impressive ‘P’ costumes!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who has helped make the 2026 season such a success.

We couldn’t do it without our amazing parent helpers, canteen volunteers and equipment crew who put their hand up throughout the season. Your support is so appreciated!

Now it’s time to look ahead to our Presentation & Break-Up Day, where we’ll celebrate our athletes, present our awards and hold our AGM.

⭐️IT’S OUR LAST CLUB MEET OF THE 2026 SEASON THIS FRIDAY⭐️

Get set for a fun-filled Friday night as we celebrate the end of another fantastic season!

Come dressed as something starting with the letter P, the more creative, the better! Think pirate🏴‍☠️, penguin🐧, pineapple 🍍or anything else beginning with P!

🏆 Prizes will be awarded for the best-dressed boy and girl!

Enjoy some fun events including:
• Standing Long Jump
• Target Shot
• Thong Throw
• Limbo
• Relays

Warm-up: 5:40pm
Marshalling: 5:50pm
First event: 6:00pm
