💎 WHAT A WAY TO CAP OFF AN INCREDIBLE FIRST YEAR OF DIAMONDS BASEBALL. 💎

Today was Grand Final Day, with both our B Grade and A Grade teams taking the field after an incredible season.

And what a journey it has been.

In our first year of Diamonds Baseball, all four teams across every division qualified for the semi-finals — an achievement that says so much about the people, culture and commitment behind this club.

🔥 B GRADE — WHAT A COMEBACK!

In their Grand Final, B Grade faced the top-placed Mustangs, trailing 6–9 before producing an incredible 11-run 4th inning.

Most of those runs came with two outs, as the team kept the inning alive and turned the game completely around.

🏆 MVP — Jack Neaves

A thoroughly deserved MVP after an outstanding performance. Congratulations, Jack!

🔥 A GRADE — NINE INNINGS OF BASEBALL

A Grade battled through a fantastic pitching contest that went the full 9 innings.

Despite several players carrying injuries, the team continued to compete right through to the final out.

Taipans ultimately took the win 7–3, but there was plenty to admire in the effort and commitment shown throughout the game.

💎 ONE CLUB. ONE INCREDIBLE FIRST SEASON.

As President, I couldn’t be prouder looking back at what this club has achieved in its first year.

Four teams. Four semi-finalists. Two Grand Finalists. One Premiership!!!

That doesn’t happen by accident.

It comes from the players who commit, the coaches who invest, the volunteers who make it all happen, and the families and supporters who turn up and get behind our teams.

Today was about celebrating how far we’ve come — and the foundation we’ve built for what comes next.

Thank you to everyone who has made the first year of Diamonds Baseball something truly special.

This is just the beginning.

Our Diamond Little league Majors shone like Diamonds at their semi final on weekend.

We are so very proud of our mini Diamonds, they showed courage and determination and never gave up.

We want to also thank Hollie and Jack for stepping up on the weekend and coaching, the kiddo’s loved having you both.

These Diamonds are the future of baseball in Townsville, and we are again so proud. We cannot wait to see your shining faces next season.
