✈️ Introducing our 2027 U14–16 Girls Coaches

We’re thrilled to announce Eleanor Beach and Gena Davis as our U14-16 Girls coaches for the 2027 season.

2027 will mark Eleanor’s fourth season with this squad, continuing a journey that has seen her work closely with the group through some important stages of their youth football journey. Her commitment to the players and passion for seeing them grow as a squad has been a constant throughout her time with the team.

Joining the technical area is Gena Davis, who will take on her first season with the squad. While it will be Gena’s first year officially coaching this group, she is certainly no stranger to many of the players, having coached a number of them during her time leading our U14/15 WBS teams. Her experience, knowledge and existing relationships with the players will be a fantastic addition.

Together, Eleanor and Gena bring a shared passion for female football, player development and creating an environment where players can continue to learn, grow and enjoy their football.

The pair will be looking to build on what was a fantastic 2026 season for the girls. The squad finished the regular season as Minor Premiers and went on to make their first Grand Final appearance, marking an exciting milestone for the group and the continued growth of girls’ football at the Jets.

But 2027 will be about more than just results.

For the majority of this squad, it will be their final season of youth football before they take the next step into senior football. That makes the year ahead an incredibly important one. Eleanor and Gena will be focused on helping the girls make the most of their final year together as a youth squad, while continuing to develop the skills, confidence and understanding they’ll need as they transition into the next stage of their football journey.

There is plenty of excitement around what this group can achieve, and we’re incredibly excited to see this dream team take the reins in 2027.

We can’t wait to see what the next chapter brings.

FULL TIME | WBS2 MEN

A tough one to finish the season, with the lads going down in the Grand Final.

Despite the result, this group can hold their heads high after an outstanding season. Minor Premiers, consistently setting the standard throughout the year, and showing plenty of fight, quality and belief to make it all the way to the big dance.

A Grand Final loss doesn’t take away from what has been a season to be incredibly proud of.

We’ll take the lessons, come back stronger and go again in 2027.

⚽️ Introducing Our 2027 QPL Women’s Head Coach

We are delighted to officially announce Vicki Edwards as our QPL Women’s Head Coach for the 2027 season.

After taking a short break from coaching, Vicki will return to the technical area in 2027 to take the reins of our QPL Women’s program and lead the team into its next chapter.

A true club stalwart, Vicki has played an important role within the Jets community for many years. Her contribution to the club extends well beyond the senior women’s program, having coached across both our MiniRoos and Youth programs and played a significant role in the development of players at multiple levels.

One of Vicki’s greatest strengths as a coach is her ability to build a strong team culture. She places a genuine emphasis on creating an environment where players feel valued, connected and accountable to one another, while understanding the importance of representing the Jets badge with pride. Her teams are built not only around football ability, but around trust, commitment, hard work and a willingness to work for each other.

Her previous tenure leading the FQPL Women’s side was marked by a period of sustained success and progression. Across her four seasons at the helm, the team reached the Grand Final on two occasions, demonstrating the competitive standards, culture and ambition that Vicki brought to the program.

Beyond the results, Vicki has consistently demonstrated a commitment to developing players, strengthening team environments and creating a clear pathway for young women within our club. Her understanding of our playing groups, our youth pathway and the broader culture of the Jets makes her return particularly exciting as we look towards 2027.

The club believes Vicki’s experience, football knowledge and ability to establish a positive, united and competitive culture will provide an excellent foundation for the next phase of our Women’s program. With a strong connection to the club and a clear vision for where she wants to take the team, we are excited to see that vision come to life.

The 2027 season represents an opportunity to build on the foundations established over recent years, continue developing our players, and create an environment in which our women can compete, grow and represent the Jets with pride.

We are thrilled to welcome Vicki back to the dugout and look forward to supporting her as she begins this next chapter with our QPL Women.

GRAND FINAL | WBS2 MEN

This Tuesday night, our WBS2 Men take the field for their Grand Final at The Precinct.

It will be a big occasion for the team, but it is also a big occasion for our club. This will be the final time a Jets team takes the field in 2026, bringing our season to a close.

After a long season of hard work, commitment and securing the Minor Premiership, the boys have earned their place in the Grand Final. Now, they need the support of the entire Jets family behind them.

We want to see The Precinct covered in red. Bring your family, bring your friends, wear your Jets colours and get behind the team from the first whistle to the final one.

Let’s come together one last time this season and give our WBS2 Men the support they deserve.

FULL TIME | UWFC JETS U16/17

What a way to finish an incredible season for UWFC Jets, crowned Grand Final Champions after a hard-fought win over Bargara yesterday.

Minor Premiers. Champions. An outstanding achievement and a true reflection of the commitment, determination and hard work this team has shown throughout the season.

A huge thank you to United Warriors for their collaboration with us this season. The partnership has been a fantastic opportunity for the players, and we are incredibly proud of what we have achieved together.

Congratulations to the players, coaches, families and everyone who has supported this team along the way. What an incredible season it has been!

FULL TIME | WBS U14/15

A tough finish to the season for our WBS U14/15s, going down in today’s Grand Final.

After finishing the season as minor premiers, this group has so much to be proud of. They worked incredibly hard all season and fought right through to the final whistle today.

While the result didn’t fall our way, we are incredibly proud of every player and everything this team has achieved. Finishing as minor premiers and making it to the Grand Final is a fantastic accomplishment.

Hold your heads high, team. You gave it everything until the very end. What a season!

FULL TIME | U15 GIRLS

A heartbreaking finish to an incredible season.

Our U15 Girls fell 1–0 in extra time in the Grand Final, but tonight doesn’t define what this team has achieved.

Minor Premiers. Undefeated throughout the regular season. A group of girls who have worked, battled and grown together all season, and given everything they had when it mattered most.

There are no words that can take away the disappointment, but there is so much to be proud of. Hold your heads high, girls. You’ve made your club, your families and your coaches incredibly proud.

This is only the beginning. Look out 2027.
