INTRODUCING PETER BUSZARD OUR A GRADE COACH & CAPTAINā€¦

We asked Buzz to say a few words on the upcoming season ā€¦

Iā€™m excited to coach, captain and soon be playing again with a great group of blokes. Iā€™ve become really close mates with a few of the more senior guys, however have a really strong rapport with the young fellas. Collectively weā€™re all striving to achieve, embrace each others success & enjoy competing alongside one another.

Weā€™ve currently got an extremely young squad, however I am bullish on their potential to propel the club forward. With the support of myself & a few more senior players we feel we will be an exciting club to play for and that our mix can contend with the best. Itā€™ll be a matter of consistently putting it together.

What will you bring to the club as coach and A grade captain?

Iā€™m hoping to bring a collaborative approach to coaching the club and captaining the A Grade team.

We all can be leaders in our own right given a situation or moment in time. Itā€™s important to me that everyone who plays in the 1st XI has the confidence to back their abilities & stand up confidently, particularly when our backs are against the wall.

Iā€™m also big on enjoying the moment! Teaching myself as much as others to enjoy the process & each step in becoming winners. To embrace the challenges, support each other through the failures, but ultimately enjoy the success of each other, both on & off the field.

Cricket can be extremely challenging & lonely individual sport at times, but itā€™s the way we interact & support / celebrate each other that will continue to have us build & be better as individuals & collectively as a team.

Why should people sign up to join the club?

I would hope people come to join us at the sharks for our great club culture and the atmosphere we provide as well as having an opportunity to play alongside the awesome individuals who make our club great.

Obviously cricket is a passion we all share, however the club can be & is so much more than that. Itā€™s a community where we share in each others success, support the failures where we pick each other up both in sport & life.

We hope to see you at shark park soon!
