Open Jackpot 4’s Meat Tray day held the first Wednesday of each month was played today. Last one for 2025! Here are today’s winners, see you all next year!

The ladies championship fours is now done and dusted with the final being played today. Leigh Hansen, Karen Davison, Suzy Pratt and Sharyn Casey defeated Joy Dartnell, Gail Cornwell, Barb Browning and Janet Fox in what turned out to be a quite hard fought game for over half the ends. Leigh’s team came through in the end but what an enjoyable afternoon it was! Congratulations to all ladies!

November birthday bash was held today with only one November birthday , can you believe that?? Happy birthday Dave Hansen! Here are the lucky meat tray winners, numbers drawn from a bag, no winning teams today, just lots of winning smiles and laughter on the green.

We had a great turn out today for our Open Nominated Triples played every second and fourth Thursday of the month. 6 rinks of happy bowlers braving the hot and sweaty conditions. Good on ya guys and gals! Here are the winners! Congratulations!

Burgowan ladies C grade club championship singles final was played today between Terry Williamson and Suzy Pratt. As always there can only be one winner and today Suzy came out on top after quite a hard fought game that was pretty even most of the way. Congratulations to both players.

Our ladies Christmas fours carnival yesterday appeared to be a successful day! With 64 people on the green all day dressed in their finest Christmas gear friendship through bowls was very apparent. Laughter rang out throughout the day and in the club house after the games were over you could hardly hear yourself talk!Our tombola elves did a great job, hope they weren’t too cheeky to you ladies! We loved having you all and look forward to seeing you again next year. Merry Christmas!

Such a fantastic turn out of ladies today helping to put up our decorations in preparation for our Ladies Fours Christmas Carnival this Monday and club Christmas celebrations beyond. You are a great bunch and your help was very much appreciated! The tombola table looks amazing!

We have our first champions for 2025/26!
It was a lovely afternoon/evening for bowls and about a dozen spectators turned up to watch two hard fought games. There has to be a winner though. Leigh Hansen is our ladies consistency champion and Robert Beckham is the men’s champion. A great achievement for one of our club novices.

First Wednesday of every month we have the open meat tray fours competition. We had an odd number of teams so we had to mix and match a bit which is why there are only 3 players in the winning 2 game team. Here are the lucky grinners who were winners! All are welcome so put your team in for next month, to be held on 3 December. Last one for the year.
