A volunteer run organisation promoting and facilitating Rugby Union training and game opportunities for girls across the Darling Downs, accommodating for all stages up to and including Junior Rugby in line with Rugby AU. Darling Downs Girls Rugby Hub acknowledges the traditional owners, the Giabal and Jarowair people of the land on which we meet, train and play. Darling Downs Girls Rugby Hub is a
volunteer run organisation that promotes and facilitates Rugby Union training and game opportunities in an all female environment for girls under 12 years. The DDGRH accommodates for all stages from Walla (4-5 yr olds) up to and including Junior Rugby in alignment with the Rugby AU Participation Pathway. Our ambition is to provide a support network for female players and their parents, while building female player participation across the Darling Downs and beyond. As an affiliate of Downs Rugby, membership to the Darling Downs Girls Rugby Hub is currently free and open to both registered and non-registered players. We encourage current female players of all clubs and codes to join and enjoy access to training days and game opportunities to gain experience, confidence, skills and friendship. All girls not currently registered to a club or code, including those who have never played before are encouraged to join the Darling Downs Girls Rugby Hub. Members can choose how they play; starting with participation in training days including both tri-tag and rugby, all the way to enjoying game opportunities in both formats of the junior game. Members will find support and friendship through the Darling Downs Girls Rugby Hub, and experience a unique training and game environment, meeting a supportive group of friends with a shared interest.
