Saturday’s results at Round 3 QLD ITT Series at Nerang Crit track hosted by GCCC, are as follows;

B grade Anne Elliott 🥇
C grade Josie Hooper 4th & Suellen Vaughn 9th
Para Athlete Mitchell Wilkes (Toowoomba Triathlon Club) and pilot Michael Reeves 3rd place 🥉

Well done to all five competitors making the trek to Nerang, and braving wet conditions and a lumpy circuit!

The Aussie Gravel National Champs were held over the weekend at Ponderosa Pines, SA. Anne Elliott and Rachele Cu***ng lined up on Saturday, racing on the 71 km course. It was freezing, raining, windy, and muddy! Conditions were grim to say the least. 38% of the female starters DNFd. Congratulations to Anne on your Silver medal in MW6 (pic), and to Rachele on your Bronze in MW5.

In arguably slightly kinder conditions, Brady Cu***ng lined up Sunday but, regretfully, he was a DNF. Local rider Brent Rees was Second in the Elite Mens field, well done Brent!

A great turnout at today’s criterium considering the week of weather we’ve had! It was a windy one and a tough one but everyone showed their grit and powered on through to the finish. Some great performances out there and all should be happy and proud. One more criterium left for the season on the 20th June…plenty of notice!

Let’s keep the racing going! Did you know that every second Saturday (most of the year round) we have local criterium races! It’s a welcoming environment that caters for all abilities, fitness levels and ages.

It’s a great opportunity to be involved in the scene and meet some like minded people. From riders who are on the international scene, MTB nationalists, weekend warriors, Gran Fondo World Champ qualifiers, QLD/Aus road race competitors and all inbetween there are endless fellow athletes to meet and race with.

A fun and safe environment to bring the local community together - whether it be to gain some valuable race experience or just to catch up with friends.

Don’t be shy and give it a crack.
