It could quite possibly be our worst kept secret but we are very happy to officially confirm our 2026 AGRADE Coaches - Jack Pattie and David McGrady.
This perfect combination, has brought a renewed enthusiasm to the squad and reinforced our season goals.
Congratulations Dave and Jack, we wish you well for the year ahead!

Not long now until the start of the 2026 TRL - Toowoomba Rugby League Season.
We have posted the 2026 DRAW for First & Reserve Grade.
There a a couple of small tweaks from the original version. Check Round 1 and 12.
Under 19 and Womens Draws are on their way.

Introducing Mia! Western Clydesdales squad member for 2026.

✨Sporting background/achievements:

Played rugby 7s for 3 years and represented Queensland before playing for the Sunshine Coast Falcons in their u19s side for 2 years. Currently signed with the Western Clydesdales in the BMD squad.

It takes a whole club 💙🤍❤️
Days like our U6–U9 Gala Day don’t just happen, they’re built on the effort of an incredible community behind the scenes.

The work of our executive committee was astronomical.
The planning, the preparation, and the sheer dedication behind the scenes to bring this day to life does not go unnoticed, it’s what made everything possible.

From our grounds team, gate keepers, coaches, league safe and sports trainers keeping everyone safe, referees controlling the games, to the legends cooking & in the canteen, selling raffle tickets… the list is endless & it it is what makes a day like this run smoothly.
We simply couldn’t do it without you.

Thank you to everyone who played a part and to all the clubs and families who came along to support the day.
We hope you had just as much fun as we did 🙌

🐻 Bears Take on the Big Smoke 🏉

The Bears headed into the big smoke to face a slick, well-drilled West Mitchelton outfit 💪

With several players unavailable due to work and other commitments, our Reserves were short on numbers - taking the field with just 15 players.

Despite that, there were some exciting glimpses of attacking footy, and we can confirm the captain’s run was much improved from the last trial 😄 Plenty of positives to build on, and with a few more troops returning, we’ll only get stronger.Final score: 36–28 to West Mitchelton.

Our A Grade side followed, with 12 fresh players and the rest backing up from Reserves - a huge effort against the defending premiers 👊

It was a tough, back-and-forth contest. Handling errors hurt us early, and we went into the sheds trailing 16–12. The boys came out firing in the second half, focusing on the 1% efforts and turning the game around to take the lead 28–20 with some brilliant footy 🔥

Fatigue and limited numbers caught up with us late, along with resting a few key players, and we couldn’t quite hold on - but the effort and fight shown was something to be proud of.

The 2026 season is already off to a fantastic start, and the feedback has been amazing.
We’ve had so many comments about how great the kids look in their new Cowboys kit, and we couldn’t agree more.

Fielding multiple teams per age group?
No problem!
We’ve got Cowboys in white, red, navy & grey!

The Toowoomba Junior Rugby League Gala Day Challenge kicks off today.
Teams in the international competitions (under 13 and above) will play for ladder points over the next three weeks using the Match Points and Bonus Points system shown in the graphic below.
At the end of the three weeks, the team that finishes first in each international competition will receive the TJRL Pre-Season Challenge trophy.
Teams in the under 10, 11 and 12 age groups will still take part in the TJRL Pre-Season Challenge, however these competitions will not be played for ladder points.

The Toowoomba Junior Rugby League Under 6 to Under 9 season will kick off with our first Gala Day hosted by Warwick Cowboys Junior Rugby League on Sunday, 22 March 2026.
