What a cracking weekend of footy to finish up before the break.
Our baby blues took to the road for the drive to Dalby. Conditions were a little miserable but smiles were huge playing the game they love.

Our U10s played hard against a great Wattles side. It’s great seeing the improvements each week in this side.

U13/14s played a very tough Stanthorpe side. The boys had a few out but played hard. They are looking forward to their next game after the break.

Thanks to all the carers and of course coaching staff who make these games possible.

This week's Blue Bag Volunteer of the Week is **Mick Watherston**!

A new club dad this year, Mick has hit the ground running and embraced the Newtown Lions spirit from day one. Whether it's jumping into the canteen, helping out on the gate, or lending a hand wherever it's needed, Mick is always willing to step up and help.

No job is too big or too small, and if there's a gap to fill, Mick is there with a smile and a great attitude.

Volunteers like Mick are what make our club such a fantastic community.

🎉🦁 PIE DRIVE FUNDRAISING WINNER! 🦁🎉

A huge congratulations to the Mitchell Family, who were our highest fundraisers in this year’s Pie Drive and the winners of a $50 Bunnings Gift Voucher! 👏💙

The Burchmann Family weren’t far behind, finishing in a very close second place. What an incredible effort by both families!

We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who got behind our Pie Drive fundraiser. The support from our players, families, and wider Blue Bag community was outstanding.

Thanks to your efforts, our Pie Drive generated an amazing $2,057 profit for the club! 💙🤍

Shout out!!! This is a shout out long over due! A shout out to the committee kids! These are the kids of parents who are on our committee and any other committee to be honest. Kids who roll in the grounds at 5.45am and leave over 12 hours later on home games. The kids who set up field’s, do ball person duties, help on gate, serve in canteen, clean toilets and dressing sheds, sit through club meetings, empty bins, unload stock and so so so much more before, after and during playing the game they love. We are so proud of the work you put in every week and love the pride you show for the club! Thanks for being role models for every other player and parent we have in the club!!!
