Finally an update on the weekends racing at the late model Australian title.
Friday night!
In the first heat the Hudson Hornet started out at the back of the pack in 10th position, car and diver went well and managed to move up to finish in 5th position.
Due to rain the night was cut short as we prepared for night two.
Saturday night!
Heat 2 Started off pole, unfortunately on the second lap after another car made contact with us the 80 machine ended up I the wall 😞
Back in the pits it was a made dash to fix the damage before the next heat.
Heat 3 starting out in 7th position, car and driver were on point. The number 80 car crossed the line in 4th position. Sadly he crossed the line with smoke bellowing out the back…..
This ends our racing of the the late model for the season.

Congratulations to kye Blight for taking out the title for the another year.

Many thanks to everyone who has helped us along the way and on the night. And big appreciation for those that traveled to cheer us on on the night.
An Aussie title is an amazing event to be apart of regardless of the results 🏁

Not sure if this is the kind of sideways that late models should be going, yet they did 😬
Unfortunately due to the rain we only managed one heat, Huddo started out in 10th and finished in 5th.
Hopefully the sun shines on track tomorrow and we can get this Aussie title done!!

After a travelling a few of the roads less traveled….. yes in true Hudson racing style we may have got lost and not just once 😆 ( watch the NASA pic to see just how off track he got😜)
Anyways after seeing the countryside we have made it to Toowoomba for the Australian title. Huddo will fighting it out for the A1 sticker with 40 other late model driver.
One not to miss!!!!
And you don’t have to miss out as it’s will be televised on ClayPerView, Saturday and Sunday night.

Hello all!!
Finally here is a recap of the last two weekends of racing
Albany weekend didn’t go according to plan, but what does in the racing world 🥴
After a successful practice night on Friday we headed into Saturday night with confidence, unfortunately we had the set up very wrong for the beginning of the night and qualified way below what we had hoped for.
Although we missed the mark with qualifying the car felt really comfortable in the heats.
In heat 1 started 6th and moved up one spot to 5th
In 2nd heat from 3rd to 6th due to spinning to avoid contact
In the feature The Hudson Hornet started out in 12th position and definitely looked the goods. however in the unpredictable world of racing he was in the wrong place at the wrong time ended up with damage to the front right steering which ended his night after only two laps.
During the week we had a little time to regroup, repair, rest and get ready for Perth the next weekend to do it all over again 😬
Last weekend in Perth the first heat went really well with a start in 8th position to a finish 3rd , which is definitely an improvement for us at the Motorplex.
The second heat we didn’t have the set up quite as good as the first heat and went from 3rd to 8th
The Hornet went into the feature in 11th position, made it up to 8th and after a restart finished in 11th.
The car is straight and we are happy that we got all the laps in for the night

These two bad boys are parked up at R&j batteries on display in Albany. Tonight and tomorrow night The Hudson Hornet races his late model and tomorrow night Tina has a skid in her production… bring on the Fun and the mud!!!

What a whirlwind last night was!!
Night started off pretty fair finished 4th in the first heat and 5th in the second. Lined up for the feature with confidence and the car looked great on track, just as The Hudson Hornet was settling in nicely there was a pile up in front of him and, he just couldn’t stop in time 😳
We held on to hope, but when the tow truck backs up to your race car you know that you are definitely out 😭
Back to the trailer with a late night fixing damage and we will be back out to have some fun tonight. Currently sitting in 39th position, hoping for a better night tonight 😉

It’s Australian title time!
We are at the Perth Motorplex for night one of the biggest late model event of the year. With a huge 52 car field all wanting to be Australian 1 it’s sure to be an epic two nights of racing…… watch this space 🏁🏁
