Keeping the Arts alive begins in our schools.
The choices made at the education level directly shape the future of Dance, Drama, Music, Media Arts and Visual Art. The latest findings from the NAAE and Queensland arts education organisations are deeply concerning, with senior Arts subject enrolments across Queensland falling by more than 20% between 2020 and 2025.
This is about more than statistics. When Arts subjects disappear from schools, students lose access to creativity, expression, culture and opportunity—and restoring those subjects can be incredibly difficult.
Please take the time to understand the impact of ATAR scaling and declining Arts enrolments, and why urgent action is needed to protect Arts education for Queensland students.
