Happy Valentine's Day! ❤️

As a way of celebrating the day of love - we are running group classes on Saturday 26th of February at the discounted rate of $20 per person when you book in with a plus one. Whether you want to do a class with a partner, friend or family member, our intimate classes of four people are great for making memories with those you love.

Our instructor, Dimitri, is running two classes on 26th of February at 11:00am and 12:00pm at our Toorak Gardens location with limited places available. Call us on 8331 1557 to secure your place.

We've all felt it - a tight lower back, a bit of stiffness when we wake up in the morning or just a dull ache during the day. Joseph Pilates was a strong believer of movement healing, so, why not try an oblique stretch in supine (laying down) - this is a great one to try!

➡Lay on your back with a rolled up towel in between
bent knees (ankles remain on the ground)
➡Have your right arm directly out to the side. Inhale,
and then as you exhale, tighten the towel between
your knees and slowly drop both legs out to the left
hand side.
➡Hold this position to stretch out your side,
and then come back up to your starting point. ➡Reverse the hand position to the left hand side and
then drop knees out to the right.
➡Maintain the stretch for 20 seconds.

Let's be honest, it's cold outside and our couches look so comfy. We are more likely to be sitting down under a nice warm blanket than going outside for a walk. This can lead to tight hipflexors!
Give the "butterfly stretch" a try:
➡️Sit on the floor with both legs straight out in front of
you.
➡️Bring the soles of your feet together, and then move
your heels as close to your body as you can.
➡️Lean forward with a straight back.
➡️Push on your thighs with your elbows for a deeper
stretch.
➡️Hold the stretch for 30 seconds.
