**THROWBACK THURSDAY**

Quamby’s Towaninny Terror, Murray Muncher, Rebel Rouser, and of course the Quamby Quaker, which still hits the track at Quambatook today.

What do they all have in common?

This week, they popped up in a post shared by the **South East Field Days** page, taking us back to the tractor pulls once held at Lucindale, South Australia.

Looking back at photos from the '80s in Lucindale as part of the South East Field Days sure brings back plenty of nostalgia. It was once a well-known stop on the tractor pulling calendar, bringing together machines and competitors from both South Australia and Victoria.

The S.E. Championship Tractor Pull drew strong crowds, plenty of noise, and some serious competition on the dirt.

It is a great reminder of how far the tractor pulling community stretched, even in those early days, and how events like these helped build the sport across country towns, field days and farming communities.

From dusty tracks to big crowds and unforgettable machines, Lucindale holds a special place in Australian tractor pulling history.

Do you remember the Lucindale tractor pulls, or do you have photos, stories or results from the South East Field Days? We would love to hear from you.

Happy 40th Birthday to the President of the Australian Tractor Pulling Association, Brendan Cross!

Born in Dimboola and raised in Rainbow, Victoria, Brendan grew up on the banks of Lake Albacutya.

While he had no direct connection to tractor pulling in his early years, it was in his teen years his passion for diesel engines led him to spend many Easter Saturdays at Quambatook as a spectator, where his love for the sport began.

With the encouragement of Fred Saul, Brendan first became involved in vintage pulling before being given the opportunity to build the modified farm tractor and now Australian Champion One More Turn.

He then went on to build another tractor this one for his brother Andrew Cross called Nothing Left.
Over the years, Brendan has become an integral part of the Association.

From driving the mighty Executioner sled, to serving as Vice President alongside Carl Bonk for two years, and now leading the ATPA as President for the past three years.
Brendan along with his wife Sarah purchased the super modified tractor Woteva in 2023, along with their 2 kids Brodie and Chloe the Cross family has thoroughly enjoyed being apart of the sport.

The ATPA has been fortunate to watch Brendan grow and thrive in every role he has undertaken, and his contribution to tractor pulling across Australia is greatly appreciated by it’s many members.

On behalf of everyone at the ATPA, we wish you a fantastic 40th birthday and hope you enjoy celebrating this special milestone with family and friends.
Happy Birthday, Brendan! 🥳🎉

MODIFIED FARM 5.20 TONNE (2) RESULTS

Next up, Modified Farm 5.20 tonne (2).

Keeping the Modified Farm results rolling with a hard-fought win with just over 1.5 meters separating first and second.

Shout out to Lily Saul who entered her first competitive tractor pull at Quambatook. Previously she had a go in the Butcher's Picnic at Tooradin. At just 15, Lily is already out here taking to the track. Kids, this is your sign to start working on your parents because under ATPA Australian Tractor Pullers Association rules, junior drivers can complete their Ls test and get behind the wheel too!
