Riders stop at the Toora pub, but don't let go of the reins. Now, stables built on the edge of town allow riders to park their horses while running errands or meeting for coffee.

The sea off the coast of Victoria has some of the wildest winds in the world.

In fact, there's so much wind that it could power every home in Victoria - and then some.

And that's exactly what we're setting out to do, by providing funding to help kickstart three major offshore wind projects.

These projects will help us meet our target of generating 50% renewable energy by 2030.

And create thousands of jobs for Victorians.

It's no surprise that I'm a really big fan.

Exciting news! Today I introduced my first piece of legislation into Parliament – a Bill to provide the legal framework to build offshore wind farms and other energy infrastructure.

Toora Football & Netball Club have been super pro-active in applying for State & Federal grants to replace their lighting - which, as you can see from this photo, is no longer fit for purpose! Our Shire should be supporting clubs like this ... they have been working for years on this project to strengthen their community - they are having some success with their applications and just need a nudge over the line with Council support!
