Jarla believes practicing Meditation and Mindfulness has helped her through her dance journey, and life in general. Jarla went from being nervous to attend new classes to confronting her fear of performing and learning to enjoy it! Yes, she still gets nervous but feels excitement now rather than sheer panic!

Some BENEFITS you may experience through Movement Meditation;
* Deeper mind-body connection
* Improved self-awareness and cognitive processes, including focus, clarity and memory
* Regulated nervous system, leading to reduced stress and anxiety levels
* Improved physical balance, performance and sleep

Meditation is not only a self-investment but can bring people together, and Jarla would love to create a beautiful space with you. If you do not have a membership at Elements, you can still join us with the $30 casual class rate (per person). Don’t want to come alone? Bring a friend or loved one! Elements members can book via the Serenity app.

Dates: Friday 11th September at 6pm and Friday 23rd October at 6pm

Location: 16/1029 Manly Road, Tingalpa, QLD. Class will be held in the top room (which is up a flight of stairs).

What to bring: A floor mat, water bottle and clothing items or a blanket to keep warm. You are welcome to bring a note pad and pen in case you want to write down some insights or journal prompts.

If you have any further questions, please reach out to Elements or Jarla

I absolutely LOVE watching what happens at our Performance Nights. ❤️

Because honestly… **Performance Nights are magical. ✨**

I see it all the time…

Members who start out saying, **“There is absolutely NO WAY I am performing!”** 😂

They watch from the sidelines, cheer everyone else on, and convince themselves that performing is just not for them.

And then something changes.

They decide to step outside their comfort zone. They learn a routine, get up on that stage, and suddenly they are doing the very thing they were convinced they could NEVER do.

And honestly… watching that transformation is one of my favourite parts of what we do.

It’s not really about the performance. It’s about what happens inside you when you do something that scares you.

The confidence.
The pride.
The nerves.
The excitement.
That **“OMG… I actually did that!”** moment. 🥹

And then there’s the other side of it that I love just as much…

Watching people come along to our Performance Nights who have never done pole or aerials before, sitting in the audience completely blown away by what they see.

I hear things like:

**“I want to do that!”**
**“I didn’t know people could do that!”**
**“Maybe I could actually try this…”**

And THAT is the magic.

Because the person sitting in the audience watching someone else perform might just be watching their future self.

That’s why I think Performance Nights are so special. They aren't just about getting on stage. They are about celebrating how far you've come, watching your friends do things they never thought possible, and inspiring the person sitting next to you to believe that maybe they can do it too.

✨ **So, what actually is a Performance Night?**

At Elements, we hold at least **two Performance Nights every year**, and each one has its own theme.

Our members have the opportunity to learn and rehearse routines **during their regular classes in the lead-up to the show**, with routines created specifically around the theme. Then, on the night, we bring everyone together to put on a show for family, friends, fellow members and anyone who wants to come along.

It doesn't matter whether you've been doing pole or aerials for years or you're still relatively new. It’s about getting involved, having fun, challenging yourself and being part of something really special.

And yes… there are nerves. 😂
But there is also SO much cheering, encouragement, laughter, excitement and pride.

So if you've ever thought, *“There is no way I could ever get up on that stage…”*

Never say never. 😉

I’ve watched so many of you prove yourselves wrong.

And I couldn’t be prouder.

Sometimes you just need to be brave enough to take that first step outside your comfort zone.

And who knows… maybe one day, someone will be sitting in the audience watching **you** and thinking…

**“I want to do that.”** ✨

Much Love Sam xo

💕 A little trip down memory lane...

This was Amelia's very first day in the Lawnton studio. She was about 14 months old.

Looking at this photo, you'd think she was a quiet little thing who sat nicely while Grandma worked.

Trust me... she wasn't. 😂

She used to pull the reception desk apart, empty shelves, relocate anything she could get her hands on and generally keep me on my toes. Keeping her contained was a full-time job in itself!

Back then, I used to be at the studio whenever it was open. Alongside running Elements, I was also running Pole Fitness World, Pole Expressions and the Australian Pole Festival. Life was incredibly busy.

But at that this time Amelia had come into my care for 3 days per week and I needed to put her first.

Thankfully, she grew up surrounded by an incredible community.

She loved sitting and watching the girls dance and train. Every spin, climb and routine fascinated her and before long she wanted to join in herself.

The studio became her second home.

The students became extended family.

And now, all these years later, she's still here - except these days she's not sitting on the sidelines watching. She's up in the air doing aerials herself. That will be another post❤️

When I look back at this photo, I'm reminded that Elements has never just been a place to learn Pole or Aerials.

It's a place where friendships are formed.

A place where confidence is built.

A place where people support one another through life's ups and downs.

A place where people truly belong.

And for Amelia and I, it has been a huge part of our journey together.

❤️ Grandma Sam
Owner of Elements Pole & Aerial

PS: no we don't usually allow people to sit and watch our classes, Amelia was an exception.
Also, Children are welcome in our studios as long as they dont run through the classes.
