The 2026 McDonald’s State Championships has been approved for the Emerging Athlete Pathways (EAP) Grant, providing support for athletes who need to travel long distances to compete. Great news for our regional families!

✅ Open to athletes aged 10–17 years of age
✅ Available for those living 125km+ from QSAC

This is a fantastic opportunity to help ease travel costs and make State Champs more accessible for athletes across Queensland.

Before you enter the Call Room at the McDonald's State Championships, make sure you’re competition ready!

All athletes must be wearing their correct registered club uniform — including:
✔️ Correct bib placement
✔️ Coles patch attached
✔️ Remove old age labels
✔️ Cover any logos on athlete bottoms that are non-compliant

Our officials will be checking, so it’s best to sort it before you arrive at QSAC to avoid any last-minute stress.

🏃‍♂️ Club Carnival Starts Tonight! 🏃‍♀️

Our Club Carnival kicks off tonight and continues tomorrow! We encourage all athletes and families to come along, compete, support, and enjoy a great couple of nights at the track.

Bring your team spirit and loudest cheers — we can’t wait to see everyone there! 🎉🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR CLUB CARNIVAL
If you are a Vet athlete, and wish to compete in hurdles at the Club Carnival, can you please see Deb in the clubhouse Friday night. As the different age groups have different heights and different markers, she would like to know in advance so these can be set up to age group regulations for those competing and save time on the night.

All athletes MUST be in full club uniform to compete. Registration number and Coles patches are to be attached to your club shirt, with black shorts/pants etc.

Ribbons will be awarded to athletes who place 1st , 2nd or 3rd in each event. The club does not provide safety pins, so parents will need to bring their own if they want to pin ribbons to shirts.

Please note that once our competition has started, MAAC reserves the right to bring forward events up to an hour, so if you are only intending on competing in later events each day please ensure you are at the grounds at least an hour before scheduled start.

Unfortunately, athletics is cancelled today due to the weather and ground conditions. 🌧️

Please remember that our Athletics Carnival is next weekend, so make sure everyone is ready and excited for a big day on the track and field! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️
