Leisure World is the City of Gosnells' premier aquatic and fitness facility and is located on the corner of Thornlie Avenue and Culross Avenue in Thornlie, Western Australia. Our page includes information about events, programs and facilities at Leisure World, including: casual swimming, swimming lessons, gym programs, aerobics, aquarobics, spa, sauna, steam room and crèche. Today some of our team came together for a morning tea to recognise R U OK? day and the importance of checking in with those around us.

A simple conversation can make a big difference. Taking the time to ask "Are you OK?", listen without judgement, and stay connected can help someone feel supported when they need it most.

🌟 The Million Moves Challenge is now underway! 🌟

Our Leisure World team is taking part in the Million Moves Challenge, and there's still time to get involved!

The challenge runs through to 21 September and encourages participants to complete 75 moves each day for 21 days, helping to build healthy, active habits and improve wellbeing.

Every move counts, whether it's:

🚶 Walking
🏃 Running
💪 Exercising at the gym
💃 Dancing
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Playing with family and friends

At Leisure World, we're proud to support Water Safety Week and help our community stay safe in and around the water.

Whether you're swimming for fun, fitness, or learning a new skill, understanding water safety can save lives. Throughout the week in Swim School, we'll be sharing helpful tips, advice, and reminders to help swimmers of all ages stay safe and confident in the water.

🎉✨ What a fantastic Dress Up Week at our crèche! ✨🎉

Our little ones had so much fun showing off their creativity and imagination through their amazing costumes. From superheroes and princesses to animals and storybook characters, every day was filled with laughter, excitement, and plenty of smiles.

Today, we say goodbye to our Coordinator, Mark after an incredible 26 years of dedicated service at Leisure World.

Over more than two decades, Mark has been a valued leader, colleague, and friend to many. His commitment, knowledge, and unwavering support have made a lasting impact on both the organisation and the countless people he has worked with along the way.

Mark's contribution to Leisure World has helped shape the workplace we know today, and his presence will be greatly missed by staff, members, and the wider community. While we are sad to see him go, we are grateful for everything he has given throughout his remarkable career.

On behalf of everyone at Leisure World, we thank Mark for his 26 years of service, dedication, and friendship and wish him every happiness and success in this next chapter.

📚✨ BOOK WEEK IS COMING TO THE CRÈCHE! ✨📚

We’re excited to celebrate Book Week from Monday 24 to Friday 28 August with a fun-filled week of stories, creativity, movement and sensory experiences! 🌈📖

This year, we’ll be exploring three much-loved books with our younger children:

🤸 Gymnastica Fantastica – movement, music and physical activities
🦁 Dear Zoo – animals, sounds and creative activities
🐻 We’re Going on a Bear Hunt – storytelling, movement and sensory activities

Throughout the week, the children will enjoy story time, themed arts and crafts, music and movement, and sensory activities inspired by each story. 🎨🎶👣

We’ll also be creating a special Book Week display in the Crèche featuring the children’s artwork and colourful Symphony of Stories decorations. 🌟

📸 Don’t forget our Book Week photo area! Children are welcome to come dressed as their favourite book character and have their photo taken. 📚💛

It’s going to be a wonderful week of imagination, stories and lots of fun! We can’t wait to celebrate Book Week with our little readers! 🥰📖✨
