Deck Grips From Blak Bear Surf Club.
When it comes to tailpads, arch height, kick profile, and tread texture all affect how your back foot connects with the board in critical moments.
Blak Bear Surf Club keeps the range focused and the specs honest:
The Destroyer — the most versatile in the range. A narrower centre arch for a locked-in feel that suits most tail shapes. The Hybrid version runs the same arch with a mixed corduroy/square tread texture for added grip under foot.
The Fang — designed as a front and rear combo. The front pad uses a thin corduroy texture for a closer-to-the-board feel, and the rear pad runs hybrid corduroy/square tread to help plant your back foot over the fin for total control.
The Slayer — a wider centre arch for a more subtle curve underfoot, with a pulled-in tail kick designed to match the curve of a round tail. Works on squash and swallow tails too.
The Grom — a narrow centre arch for a locked-in feel, sized for scaled-down high performance shortboards so it fits without modification.
All pads are three-piece and use 3M adhesive. The Everyday Leash runs a 7mm cord with a 2-inch non-slip cuff and railsaver if you need to round out the setup at the same time.

More surfers are patching their own boards — and why not? The Surfboard Studio UV Quick Cure resins make it straightforward.

Three options, built for the job:

UV Quick Cure Fibre Fill Epoxy Resin (50ml) - for epoxy boards. Contains milled fibreglass for maximum strength, gives a translucent finish once cured, and handles everything from chipped noses and tails to fin chops and holes up to 2 inches deep. Airline safe too, so it travels with you.

UV Quick Cure Polyester Filler Resin (50ml) - for PU boards. No fibrefill - this one’s designed to be used with fibreglass cloth over holes and cracks, and doubles as a finish coat to seal air bubbles and hairline cracks. Comes in a re-sealable pack.

UV Quick Cure Fibre Fill Polyester Resin (100ml) - also for PU boards, but with fibre built in. Quick and easy for superficial dings up to an inch deep, and can be built up in layers for deeper damage including chipped noses and tails. More volume for bigger jobs.
Match the resin to the board and you’re good. All three cure in sunlight. No waiting around.
