📢 UPDATE – 2026 VICTORIAN ROAD STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS 📢

We wanted to provide an update regarding the 2026 Victorian Road State Championships at Phillip Island.

🏆 Junior Individual Time Trial (ITT) State Championships
🏆 Junior Road State Championships
🏆 Senior Road State Championships

📅 Date: Saturday, 8 August 2026
📍 Location: Phillip Island

We're pleased to confirm that registrations for these championships will open later this week.
Following discussions with the event organisers and a review of venue availability and costs, the Senior Individual Time Trial (ITT) State Championship will be moved to Summer 2026/27.

A significant increase in venue hire costs at Phillip Island, combined with the challenges of securing a suitable alternative venue and date, has made it unfeasible to conduct the championship alongside the road events in August. Rather than cancel the championship, we have elected to reschedule it and continue working towards delivering a quality State Championship event.

We are currently finalising a venue and date, and will announce further details as soon as they are confirmed.

Thank you to the riders, clubs, volunteers, and event organisers for your understanding and continued support. We look forward to welcoming Victoria's best junior and senior road riders to Phillip Island in August for a fantastic day of competition.

Registrations are now open for the J11 - J13 Coach-Led session at DISC Velodrome, on Saturday 4th July.

The two-hour Coach-Led Sessions start at 10am and are designed to:

Build confidence and competence riding on the boards for U11 and U13 riders.

Provide accessible, high-quality coaching for riders unable to attend weekday club sessions.

Support regional riders and clubs by offering structured development opportunities in Melbourne.

Create a coach development pathway, allowing accredited coaches to gain experience delivering junior track programs.

Improve skill progression and rider retention within junior track cycling.

The session on the 4th will be led by Brad Robins.

Carnegie Caulfield Cycling Club continues to be at the forefront of advocating for a criterium circuit and recreational riding facility on behalf of the Victorian cycling community. World tour rider, multiple Grand Tour Stage winner and Life Member of the Club, Simon Clarke, shares why a multi-purpose cycling circuit and secure a safe, accessible venue for clubs, community groups, is needed for our clubs and broader community.
