With over 30 girls now registered from a host of different clubs and associations, places are fast running out for the Thomastown united's Girls Winter Academy 2026.

Led by three female coaches, the academy runs over four Saturdays (30 May, 6 June, 13 June and 20 June), caters to all abilities, is held in high class facilities, has gear for girls who have not played before, and is a load of fun!

Saturday mornings 30 May, 6 June, 13 June, 20 June 2026.

-Open to all girls from all clubs and associations and at any level.
-Led by 3 female coaches, supported by a range of other experienced cricket coaches and players.
- Girls are streamed according to experience and abilities, from beginners through to representative level.

📢 Coaching Announcement 📢

Following our presentation night last night we are pleased to announce the signing of Riley & Josh as coach and assistant coach.

Riley fresh off a DVCA Team of the Year honours for a great individual season will continue as Captain/Coach for 4th year.

Josh returns full time from Plenty Valley, bringing a wealth of knowledge after 4 years serving as an assistant coach in the Premier Women’s program.

We wish them both all the best for next season.

Introducing the newly named cross town rivalry to honour two Legends of their respective clubs.

Brett ‘Agro’ Leavold - Near on 300 games, 7500 runs, multiple premierships, Team of the 80s & 90s, Team of the 20th Century, Team of the 50th Anniversary, Life Member, Hall of Fame Legend and all time great bloke.

Lou Alberti - 500 Games, 7000+ Runs, 4 Premierships, notorious cutter and puller, brilliant clubman, all time great.

We couldn’t think of two more deserving guys to name the cup after.

Agro has been named to play in the game after him, all the best for the game, make some runs.

Wishing Lou all the best for his 500th Game tomorrow.
