The club we know today as Plenty Valley Lions Football Club was the brainchild of a group of 1st generation Australian Macedonians that were drawn together by their their passion for the world game. The same group used the name LERIN FC playing competitive indoor football in Thomastown (off Settlement Road) between 1994-1999. In early 1999 it was sponsored by the Lerinski Sela Incorpotaion to laun

ch itself officially in the Amateur Soccer Federation of Victoria. That historic 1st meeting was conducted at the Armenoro Social Club, 60 Epping Road Epping, Vic 3076. Attending members from the Lerinski Sela Inc - Bill Kotsios, Arthur Alexander & Chris Petrov. From Lerin FC - Theo (Tode) Nikolaidis & George Georgiadis. On the 19th May 1999 the club registered the name ‘LERIN FC’ with the Amateur Soccer Federation of Victoria. LERIN FC, as it was known in the amateur leagues, played its first game at the rear of Thomastown Secondary College, 80-96 Main Street, Thomastown Vic 3074, in late 1999, before moving to I.W. Dole Reserve in Reservoir in April 2000. In 2003, the club entered the Victorian Soccer Federation (now FFV) and registered the trading name Plenty Valley Lions F.C as a way of depicting the local Plenty Valley Region. The club moved to Bundoora Park Pavilion in 2005, then to L.E Cotchin Reserve, Reservoir in 2009. In early 2010 the club successfully lobbied the City of Whittlesea and moved to Sycamore Reserve, where it stayed for 8 years where it was relocated to RGC Cook Reserve, 2W Robinvale Avenue Thomastown for where it currently resides. The club proudly fields a diverse range of members & back grounds within its own administration. Junior & Senior players from all backgrounds are welcome; anyone who has a love for football is welcome at the club. Plenty Valley Lions FC prides itself on being a locally based community orientated family club.

🦁 Expressions of Interest for the 2027 Season Are Now Open! 🦁

Plenty Valley Lions is excited to announce that Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for the 2027 season are now open!

Following continued growth across our club and exciting plans to further develop our Junior program, this is your opportunity to become part of the Plenty Valley Lions family.

⚽ Positions are limited across all age groups, so we encourage players and families to register their interest early.

📢 Be sure to share this opportunity with family and friends because places are expected to fill quickly.
Trials will be conducted by invitation only, with invitations and trial information sent directly to selected applicants. Team selections and offers will be finalised in October.

Current Plenty Valley Lions registered and playing players do not need to submit an EOI. Further information regarding the 2027 season will be communicated to existing players shortly.

🦁 FULL TIME 🦁

A mixed weekend of results for the Lions, with two strong wins and plenty of fight shown across all four senior sides. ❤️💛

Our Men’s Seniors secured an impressive 2–0 win over Bundoora United, while the Reserves delivered a dominant 3–0 victory.

Our Men’s Metro side narrowly went down 3–2 to Altona Magic, while our Women’s Seniors suffered a tough 6–0 defeat against Gisborne SC.

Plenty to be proud of and plenty to build on as we keep pushing forward together. On to the next one, Lions! 🦁🔥
