Happy Father’s Day from the Thirlmere Roosters 🐔
To all the dads, stepdads, grandfathers, uncles, brothers, coaches, mentors. The men who teach our kids that strength isn’t just about being tough but it’s about being kind, respectful and being there when someone needs you.
Thank you for being a role model, a supporter, and sometimes the laughter of some absolutely questionable sideline commentary. 😂
Thank you for trying your hardest to make all our games, standing in the rain and cold weather pretending you’re not freezing, tying our boots, volunteering when someone says “we just need one more person…” and providing a full post-match analysis!
Our kids might not remember every score, every try or every game they played but they’ll remember who was standing beside them. They’ll remember the encouragement after a tough loss, the arm around the shoulder, the pat on the back, the laughs on the drive home and the person who believed in them when they needed it most.
To all the great male figures within our Thirlmere Roosters family thank you ! Thank you for setting the example , being the role model and for helping raise good young people not just good footy players.
Enjoy today, enjoy the BBQ, enjoy an ice cold beverage and enjoy the love of your little ones !
