Last weekend we finally rolled out the #16 BRK Fusion Kart at Blanchetown Dirt Kart Club for our first proper shakedown and what a learning curve it turned out to be.

With me currently on a probationary licence, we started rear of field for the entire meeting with 11 other drivers, but honestly right now the goal is simple, learn, get laps under my belt and keep improving every time we hit the track.

Heat 1: DNS
Unfortunately, the kart decided to test our patience early with the carby playing silly buggers. Under throttle it wanted to choke itself out, but somehow with no throttle it wanted to take off. I pulled in before the race even got going.

Thankfully, we were able to borrow another carby and bring the old girl back to life.

Heat 2: P10
Straight away things felt better. Every lap I was gaining confidence and getting more comfortable, but we still had issues with it four stroking down the long straight.

Heat 3: DNS
Another curveball, the kart refused to fire. Turns out the plug had fouled up from running too rich in the previous heat.

Heat 4: P7
Fresh plug in, pushed off from rear again and finally got a clean run. Managed to pinch one off the start and after a mid-race incident we were able to pick off a few more spots and bring it home in 7th.

For a first hit out, I’m genuinely stoked. Massive learning curve, plenty to work on and a heap to take away from the day, but most importantly we got laps, learnt a lot and came home in one piece.

A massive thank you to everyone that helped us get through the day. Jamie Starr and his team for the help all day and trusting us with a spare carby when we were in strife. Mark and Bradley for all the help with the kart and for pushing me off each heat And of course, my amazing partner for wrangling the kids all day.

The results come second when you’ve got the kids in the pits helping all day. Watching them get involved, learn and love being around motorsport already is something pretty bloody special and honestly this is exactly what Speedway was missing.

Now we pray to the weather gods and hopefully we’ll be back out this weekend at Adelaide Dirt Kart Club in Virginia.

Thank you to our sponsor and supports for their support!

IT’S BEEN A WHILE… 👀🏁

After stepping away from racing since my Wingless Sprintcar days back in April 2024, tomorrow marks the beginning of a brand new chapter.

Super excited (and bloody nervous 😂) to be jumping into something completely different for the first time making my Dirt Kart debut in my #16 BRK Fusion Kart at Blanchetown Dirt Kart Club.

Massive learning curve ahead, but keen as hell to get back behind the wheel, have some fun, learn the ropes and see what we can do.

Huge thank you to everyone who has helped make this happen so far and of course, keeping the Supreme Sticker Co colours loud 💥

Here’s to a fresh start. Let’s send it 🤘🏁

🏁 60 Lapper Report “A Wheely Bad Day” 🏁

We were eager to return to the track after a few weeks off, but our excitement was dampened when we sheared all the studs off one of the hubs along the freeway in 42° heat. Thankfully, Damien Eve helped us arrive at the track just in time for the drivers briefing by towing us from Hahndorf.

In Heat 1, we started P7 and managed to finish P6 with limited opportunities to pass without risking an accident.

During Heat 2, Out of P4 at the start of the green flag a car on the inside got tight hitting our left rear while another car spun out right in front of me in Turn 1-2, causing me to slam into the wall pretty hard. Despite managing to drive away from it, my front right spindle gave up before long and forced me to be towed infield. We decided not to continue onto B Main due to damage sustained during Heat 2 including bent axles both front, Bent right rear rim and rear alongside a damaged Jacob's ladder.

A huge thank you goes towards my team who worked tirelessly under harsh conditions so that I could turn some laps but unfortunately the night didn’t go our way!

🎀Thank you to our partners that get us to each race meeting, We couldnt do this without them!🎀

Yesterday we made the trek up to B&S Earthworks Timmis Speedway Mildura for the first time in our short racing career and being our first time racing out of South Australia, we didn’t know what to expect!

We headed out for heat one starting P3, Car felt great with no misfire or unusual noises which was nice for a change but very shortly found out I put the wrong gear ratio in the diff 🤦🏼‍♂️ Hitting limiter 1/2 way down the straights we fell back to P8/P9, Not sure where but down near the back

After a quick gear change we headed out for heat 2 starting out of P8, we felt we had wicked pace and speed working our way into P5 before the car shut off within a handful of laps into the heat. After a little inspection the team found the terminal tab on the back of the ignition switch snapped off. A huge Thank you to normie allowing us to borrow his for the A Main after cooking his powersteering pump.

Out of 18 we just wanted to come home with a straight car, We achieved that but not in the way we wanted! We made up a couple of spots on the high line before the wire popped off the ignition switch killing the car again and watched the race from the infield..

The car showed decent pace once we got the car set up right and there was no faults but just the night again didn’t go my way..

I’d like to thank my crew: Scott Jones, Simon James Passehl, Norm Moore, Normie Moore and lastly Naomi Moore again for all your help and advice last night!

Huge shoutout to DTP QUICK SNAPS 2.0 for this wicked photo with the limited amounts of laps I did last night! 📸

Also thank you to my sponsors for their support this season, We could do what we do without your support! 🏁🎀
