Did you know it is recommended that we each walk 10,000 steps a day in order to burn 20% of our caloric intake through activity? Many of us think that we do more steps than we actually do! A good way to track your steps is with a pedometer. Go pick one up and find out how many steps you do!!
If you are needing to increase your daily steps, try taking the stairs, carrying in the shopping 1 bag at a time, take a walk around during your lunch break or pick a parking spot further away than you would usually.
Yesterday I did a little over 16,000 steps. Today I am setting a goal of 20,000. I challenge you to set a daily step goal and reach it!! 10,000 a day. Get on it!!
