Day 2 of the Oceania Beach handball championships resulted in a 2-0 (32-9,32-4) win for the men vs Kiribati and a 1-2 nail biting (21-14, 12-14, 4-5) defeat for the women vs Cook Islands.

The women’s final pool match and the men’s and women’s final will all be live on the IHF Competitions YouTube Live page.

Day 1 of the Oceania Beach Handball Championships saw our girls take on New Zealand in 2 very close sets, with the second set going down to a golden point lasting 3 possessions. However, our girls stuck together to claim a hard fought and well deserved 2-0 (18-10, 15-14) victory!

Matches today will be against the Cook Islands and Kiribati.

The sand is set, the teams are ready, and the vibes are high!

The Australian Beach Handball Championships are officially kicking off this morning at stunning Coolangatta Beach, running now until Sunday 6 April!

We’ve got teams from all across the country (and a few of our Kiwi mates who made the trip over!) bringing the heat, the hustle, and the high-flying action.

Spectacular plays, cheering crowds, and beachside reunions. This weekend is all about sport, community, and celebrating the love of the game.

Catch the action, feel the energy, and come soak up the sun with us!

Here’s to the women who inspire, lead, and break barriers. The future is ours 🔥
