Most people will tell you that exercise is hard and that it's tough to stay motivated, especially during the colder months. Hey I get it!

But as someone who trains outdoors, especially in the colder months, I see first hand how exercise can be an incredible source of energy, strength, and positivity in our lives. And even during the colder months, there's no reason to let your fitness goals slip away.

Here are some tips for staying motivated during winter:

Dress in layers: Staying warm and dry is key to enjoying winter workouts. Dress in layers that you can easily shed as you warm up.

Find a buddy: Everything is better with a friend! Find someone who shares your passion for outdoor exercise and keep each other accountable.

Embrace the season: Winter can be beautiful, even if it's cold. Take in the stunning scenery and enjoy the crisp air.

Set goals: Give yourself a reason to get out there. Sign up for a winter race or challenge yourself to complete a certain number of workouts per week.
