What a game from our FQPL1 Women! They pulled off an incredible comeback against Mitchelton, with Izzi Wood scoring at the death to secure all 3 points! Huge shoutout to our young debutants who brought the fresh firepower when we needed it most.

Unfortunately, our U23 Women went down 4-1 earlier in the day, but they’ll be back stronger next week. Proud of the fight across both squads! 🟣🟑

The Gap FC is seeking a passionate and community-minded person to join our Board as MiniRoos Director.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the football experience for our youngest players (up to U12) and helping build the future of our club.

As MiniRoos Director, you will oversee the delivery and development of our MiniRoos and Kangaroos program, working alongside coaches, coordinators, technical staff, parents and fellow Board members to create a fun, inclusive and well-organised environment for all participants.

Key responsibilities include:
⚽ Overseeing the overall MiniRoos football program (up to U12)
πŸ‘§ Supporting initiatives to grow female participation in line with Football Queensland's 50/50 vision
πŸ‘₯ Appointing and supporting coaches, coordinators and team managers
πŸ“… Leading pre-season information sessions and onboarding workshops
🀝 Working collaboratively with parents, staff and Board members
πŸ“ˆ Contributing to the strategic direction, governance and ongoing growth of the club

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about junior football, enjoys working with people and wants to make a meaningful impact within our football community.

The Gap FC 2026 Development Fund! ⭐

We want to take a moment to express our deep gratitude for the incredible support we’ve received over the last two years through your contributions to the 2024 and 2025 year end tax deduction schemes. Your generosity has made a significant impact on The Gap Football Club and our community, including enabling the installation of air conditioning in the uniform shop, the installation of hand dryers in the outdoor bathrooms, mending the outdoor bubblers, er****on of field signage and improving field drainage amongst other things. Your generosity enables the club to thrive.

As we approach the 2026 tax year end we are launching our latest fundraising campaign, with the aim to enhance our club further with funding being used to improve the lighting on field 3 and external fields with the purchase of portable lighting, improving the facilities to train and play, even after sunset. Your continued support will also help us address the increasing operational costs, allowing us to maintain quality programs and opportunities for all.
