Ummm… you’re not going to believe this…

On an amazing day for Iona Sport, our incredible cricketers have done it again to rewrite the record books.

Congratulations to Zayne Thomas, who today blasted his way to 252 not out in our First XI games – setting a new all-time highest score for AIC competition.

Yep. You read that right – 252 not out. Just amazing Zayne, take a bow.

With Zayne is the also incredible Harley Malpass, who posted 116 not out to construct a 317-run partnership with Zayne.

We are waiting to have it confirmed from AIC as to whether this is a record partnership for First XI matches.

The hearts of the Iona community are about to burst with our pride in these young men, who are not only exceptionally talented, but play the game in true spirit of Iona.

We are so proud of you gentlemen! Congratulations and Kia kaha!
