Here's just a few of the superstars and unsung heroes of The Gap Little Athletics.

Sport doesn't happen without the tireless effort from a horde of parent volunteers and you wouldn't find a better bunch than those at The Gap.

Obviously they're not all pictured here because they were too busy running around on Friday night, handing out trophies, serving drinks, packing eskies, collecting pizzas, organising lolly hunts and picking up rubbish. We appreciate you immensely.

Congrats to the chief handicapper at last night’s gift race. That was one hell of a finish, almost impossible to split.

And congrats to our seniors. You’ve set an amazing example and left a legacy of effort, spirit, consistency and grace.

🥳 A Reminder:

It's time to celebrate what's been an immensely rewarding season at The Gap Little Athletics.

* What: End of season celebration and presentation
* Where: The Gap State High School
* When: Friday, March 27, from 5.45pm
* Action: In addition to awards, there'll be an obstacle course and lolly hunt
* Hungry: Pizzas provided (including GF, vego etc) + drinks

We recommend you bring a chair and/or picnic blanket and settle in for the festivities.

This is an appreciation post, not only to the athletes, but also to the coaches, officials, parent volunteers, siblings ... everyone who contributed to a breakout meet for The Gap at the McDonald's State Championships.

In just three days at QSAC The Gap athletes amassed 13 medals, broke 11 centre records and set 33 PBs. That's extraordinary.

And it will give us plenty to celebrate at The Gap on Friday for the end of season presentations. See you there from 5.45pm.

Wow, what an epic weekend of PBs, gut-busting efforts, smiles, humidity and Calippos.

And of course there were some medals too. Congrats to medallists Kaley, Kitty, Tessa, "Lightning" Laura, Allegra and Hugo.

Loved seeing everyone wear the green with pride, support each other and enjoy the fruits of all their hard work over summer.

Can't wait to see everyone at the end of season celebration and presentation on Friday.

Just a reminder to all our families that there's no club competition tomorrow night, March 20, due to commitments at the McDonald's State Championships.

The good news is we'll gather one last time for the season on Friday, March 27, from 5.45pm for the end of season celebration and presentations. Stay tuned to socials and the Stack app for more details.

Just a few more sleeps until about 30 members from The Gap Little As rip and tear at the McDonald's State Champs at QSAC.

Everyone at the club is immensely proud of you and will be roaring in support when you compete this weekend.

We see every little ounce of effort you've put in and can't wait to celebrate your efforts when we see you at the finish line.

Just a week to go if you need to make adjustments to your uniforms

Before you enter the Call Room at the McDonald's State Championships, make sure you’re competition ready!

All athletes must be wearing their correct registered club uniform — including:
✔️ Correct bib placement
✔️ Coles patch attached
✔️ Remove old age labels
✔️ Cover any logos on athlete bottoms that are non-compliant

Our officials will be checking, so it’s best to sort it before you arrive at QSAC to avoid any last-minute stress.
