Southern Star Series-Griffith
Kenno racing travelled to Griffith for the final round of the Southern Star Series. The highlight was the fourth heat that was on Saturday night and under lights which made for spectacular racing we really enjoyed.

Junior performance was a small field and one guy was from Victoria. Ryan finished 2nd for the weekend round and first in the series 🏆🏆

Novice had a good sized field and little Luke’s driving has come a long way in the last few months. Luke saved his best move until the last moment of the final. The two boys in front of him got caught up with lapped traffic, and Luke passed all 4 karts in one swift move on the last lap two corners before the finish.
Luke finished 5th in the final and 5th in the series.🤙

Once again the series was a lot of fun with great competition in both classes. Thanks to all those people behind the scenes who make these race meeting happen.

Southern Stars Series- Orange
We always enjoy ourselves at Orange Kart track and this weekend was no different. A mixture of weather condition only making it even better.

Luke has made some great improvements these last couple of race meeting and his control in the wet was impressive as he hasn’t had a lot of time on a wet track.
He finished 7th

Ryan had good speed considering he was on old tyres. The rain came for race 2 and we decided to go out on slicks which was a lot of fun.
He finished 3rd for the weekend

The boys are really enjoying the series with great racing on the track and a lot of laughs off the track, it no wonder we spend our weekends traveling around with this sport.

A big thanks to..

Grenfell, Bob Hinde 20-21 July.
We headed for the beautiful town of Grenfell and before getting to the track we had to stop and check out the silos that had been painted.

Junior pro.
With a fresh engine Ryan’s had some excellent speed. The racing was exciting all weekend from all the boys. Ryan gave it his best shot but couldn’t beat Henry.
2nd

Novice.
Luke has made some big improvement lately, not only in his overall speed but able to have some great battles.
7th

The Bob Hinde is a fantastic race meeting for the family. A big fire and DJ on Saturday night had us telling some tall stores from the days racing.
The kids enjoyed the sparkling apple juice during the presentation.

And to finish off what was already great weekend Luke’s name got pulled out of the hat to win a new junior chassis.
Thanks to Karts and parts Griffith for donating the prize

Manning Valley, 2nd round state championship. 12-13-14 July

Kenno racing arrived at Manning Valley Kart Thursday morning early to set up and relax before a big weekend of hectic racing.

Friday practice had us mid pack in Junior pro throughout day and with only 0.25sec difference from fastest to slowest we were in for a close weekend.

Saturday morning qualifying was even closer, 0.15 across the field of 14 drivers. With our best efforts we were only able to qualify 13th, so we had a lot of work to do.

Ryan had to make the best of his starts as the racing was so close it was hard to pass.

Both Ryan and I working our hardest on and off the track could only get to 9th on the grid for the final and finished 7th across the line. a Hugh effort considering a king pin bearing had collapsed due to the rough track conditions.

It was a great weekend away with Mark Lowing and Karl Ross
