The club held its AGM last Thursday evening, thank you to all who attended.

The new committee was formed and the club still has a vacancy for the Treasurer position.

Please reach out to the club if you would like to know more information about the role and what involves. It’s a very easy role to undertake along with great support from the rest of the committee, particularly our long term committee members, some of who have undertaken the role before.

The preparation for the upcoming season is well underway and stay tuned for some very exciting annnoucements about our new senior and junior club coaching roles along with player registrations.

Notice of General Meeting
Dear Member

This notice is to advise you of the upcoming general meeting of the members of Sunshine Coast Cricket Association Inc. The details of this meeting are as follows:
Date: Monday 8 June 2026
Time: 6pm
Place: Maroochydore Cricket Club, Cover Drive, Maroochydore 4558

A copy of the proposed new Constitution has already been circulated.

At the meeting, voting members will be asked to vote to:

● adopt the proposed new constitution by special resolution

Special Resolution

● That Sunshine Coast Cricket Association adopts the proposed new constitution as the constitution of the association

If the special resolution is passed (by at least 75% of the voting members present at the general meeting), the new constitution will be lodged with the Office of Fair Trading and will take effect upon formal registration by the OFT.

A huge congratulations to our very own Club President Ben Shaw, officially recognised by Queensland Cricket as the 2025/26 Coach of the Year!

This is an incredible achievement and a reflection of the tireless work Ben puts into our club every single week.

In a season where he also stepped into the role of Club President, Ben has continued to lead from the front—driving our coaching program, mentoring new coaches, and creating an environment where players of all ages and abilities can thrive.

From juniors to seniors, his impact has been felt right across Tewantin Noosa CC, with a clear focus on development, confidence, and building a strong, connected cricket community.

This award is not just recognition of results, but of the passion, leadership, and commitment Ben brings to our club and the wider cricket community.

⭐️ 2025-26 Community Cricket Awards ⭐️

To say that Ben Shaw is driven would be an understatement. His passion for coaching at Tewantin Noosa CC has grown significantly in recent seasons - not only in terms of the teams that he takes on, but in trying to upskill and nurture new mentors to join in the coaching fraternity. But when a last-minute club resignation required him to step into the top role as President at TNCC, Ben could have been excused for deciding to give his coaching journey a break for a season or so. Not Ben, though. Sure, the season has been a testing one for Ben, but he has not wavered in his commitment to coaching and community leadership. He's led the Tewantin Noosa coaching group across all grades, led education upskills, created age/skill-appropriate sessions that have earned the respect and admiration of fellow club members, players, their parents and more, as well as the notable improvement in the abilities of all who Ben comes in contact with. His skill set has even extended to coaching Sunshine Coast junior representative teams.
