Terrigal Wamberal Rugby League Football Club (TWRLFC) is a club that prides itself on the retention of local juniors and the ability to develop these players into top level footballers, who will hopefully progress onto the game’s biggest stage – the National Rugby League. Some former Terrigal Sharks include Glenn Morrison (Balmain, North Sydney, North Queensland, Parramatta, Bradford) Tim Moltzen
(Wests Tigers, Manly) and Josh Drinkwater (St George, London Broncos, Wests Tigers, Leigh Centurions). This has been a trend that has continued over the club’s 30-year history. Terrigal has experienced many great seasons in the local competition with the ultimate coming in 1986 where the club took out the first-grade premiership. Over the years, there have been a number of players awarded the Sterland Medal for the competition’s Best and Fairest, the 2003 and 2004 Central Coast Leagues Club medal along with several Country selections.
2005 was an exciting year for the Sharks when for the first time the club won the Club Championship, this fantastic year for the Sharks was followed up with premiership success for the 19’s and Reserve Grade teams in the 2006 season. 2012 was no exception, with the open age side dominating the competition to take out the premiership. In the same year First Grade took home the minor premiership, First Grade backed up this effort in 2013, again taking home the minor premiership. We wish all players, Members, supporters and sponsors an exciting and successful 2017 season. Get down to Shark Park on Sunday and support your local team.
