📢 Teralba Turtles RLFC – Official Update 🐢💚💛💜

We’re pleased to announce that our AGM was a tremendous success, and a committee has now been officially formed. This is an exciting milestone for our community as we move closer to bringing rugby league back to Teralba and surrounding areas.

With strong momentum behind us, we are now finalising the remaining details for our inaugural season submission. Everything is progressing positively, and we’re looking forward to the next chapter.

🌟 Our next priority is assembling a playing roster to present to the league, and we warmly invite expressions of interest from:
• Former players eager to return to the game.
• Local players seeking a new opportunity.
• Community members who have never played before but are ready to take on a new challenge.

Whether you’re experienced, returning, or completely new to rugby league, you are welcome at the Teralba Turtles.

This meeting is absolutely critical — it’s do or die if we want to secure a team for the 2026 season. We truly need our community behind us.

📣 A Message to Our Community

Over the past few days, our page has been inundated with comments and messages about honouring the history of the Booragul/Teralba Bears. We want to take a moment to acknowledge every single person who has reached out — your passion for the past truly shows how special this area’s rugby league heritage is.

We’d like to reiterate that the future club is extremely mindful and respectful of the Bears’ history, and we are committed to honouring that legacy in every way possible. Recently, it’s felt like there is a division forming between the past and the future — and this is something we absolutely do not want. The only way forward is by doing this together, as one community.

We would love for those who know the club’s history — former players, supporters, families, and community members — to reach out and get involved.

Our upcoming AGM meeting is the perfect opportunity to express your thoughts, share your knowledge, and help shape the direction of this new chapter. Our submission is not finalised, and if you’d like to have your say, the meeting is absolutely the place to do so.

We’re excited to announce a community meeting to establish a new local rugby league club: The Teralba Turtles Rugby League Football Club (RLFC) to serve the communities of Teralba, Booragul, Boolaroo, and Speers Point.

The club aims to compete in the Newcastle Hunter Rugby League competition, with a strong focus on grassroots development, community pride, and inclusive participation across all age groups.

Meeting Details:
• Date: Monday, 17 November 2025
• Time: 6:00 PM
• Location: Teralba Bowling Club, 2A York Street, Teralba NSW 2284

Purpose of the Meeting:
• Form a founding committee (President, Secretary, Treasurer, Coaching Coordinator, etc.)
• Discuss club goals, structure, and competition entry
