Saturday October 3, 2026.

Western Suburbs Cricket Club, with the support of the MDCA, will celebrate the 80th season of the return of district cricket to Maitland after the end of WW2 with a festival of cricket at Coronation Oval.

This season will also be the 80th season of cricket for Western Suburbs Cricket Club.

9am - The Chris Mudd T20 match returns for its 6th edition. Team Lincoln vs Team Nathan, will all the familiar faces that Chris used to coach and a few youngsters making their first appearance in this fixture.

1pm - WSCC "Legends" vs an invitational Maitland/Hunter River "Legends" team.

The selected teams are attached - with representation in the MHR team from almost every club that WSCC has played against in our 79 season history - including Singleton & Singleton Colts from the post-flood years in the 1950s.

Canteen facilities will be available on the day, this is a family friendly event.

Get there early, dressed in your best retro cricket caps from yesteryear and help us celebrate this milestone anniversary of cricket in our community.

For supporters and families, the playing shirts that the squads will wear are also available for pre-order ahead of the day for $35. Any orders for WSCC, MHR, Team Lincoln or Team Nathan in men's, women's or children's shirts are to be sent through to [email protected] by June 26.

Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting (AGM) for Western Suburbs Cricket Club (WSCC) will be held at the Bradford Hotel on Monday 1st June at 6:30pm.

All current committee positions will be declared vacant. A new committee for the 2026/27 season will then be nominated and voted on accordingly.

Your involvement is key to helping our Club start the new season on the right foot. Whether you’re a committee veteran or new to the scene, we welcome everyone! Even If you’ve never been a part of the committee, we welcome new members to come and have a voice in the running of our great club.

🏆 Last Friday we celebrated our Junior Plovers! 📣

A combined 150 people across two presentation sessions, recognising the achievements of all of our Juniors this season.
