What an incredible weekend at our 2 Day Salt Horsemanship Clinic in Horsham.

Weekends like this are exactly why we do what we do. Watching horses and riders grow together over just two days never gets old. Every single person came with an open mind, a willingness to learn, and the determination to improve for their horses — and it absolutely showed.

From building confidence on the ground, improving softness and feel under saddle, working through challenges, and creating better communication with their horses, there were so many big achievements across the weekend. Some riders took massive personal steps outside their comfort zones, others had breakthrough moments they’ve been chasing for a long time, and some simply found a better connection and understanding with their horse. Those wins matter.

One of the best parts of these clinics is seeing the support and encouragement everyone gives each other. No egos, no judgement — just good people helping one another become better horsemen and women. That atmosphere is something pretty special.

A massive thank you to Rhonda for organising the clinic and bringing everyone together. These weekends don’t happen without the people behind the scenes doing the hard work, and we appreciate it more than you know.

Another huge thank you to Libby yet again for supplying some absolutely amazing food and soups all weekend. Nobody ever goes hungry when Libby is around, and the effort and care she puts into feeding everyone certainly doesn’t go unnoticed.

And finally, thank you to my one and only beautiful wife Bec. Everything she does behind the scenes, the support she gives, the knowledge she shares with people, and the way she helps others throughout the clinics is incredible. The knowledge Bec brings is such a great addition to Salt Horsemanship, and I’m incredibly grateful to have her beside me on this journey.

Thank you to everyone who came along, trusted the process, had a laugh, and put in the work for their horses. We’re proud of every single one of you and can’t wait to see where your horsemanship journey takes you next.

Until we meet again “Stay Safe, Ride Well & Enjoy Your Time With Your Horses”

Another great day at our one day clinic at Lethbridge Equestrian Centre.

It was awesome to see a mix of new faces alongside so many long-time supporters who continue to come along and be part of what we do. The environment everyone helps create at these clinics is something I’m really proud of.

Every rider and horse put in a huge effort throughout the day, and it was great to watch the progress being made. Seeing people build better understanding, confidence, and connection with their horses is always the best part of these clinics.

A big thank you to Libby for the amazing food, and to Coralie for making sure everyone was fed, looked after, and comfortable throughout the day. It definitely doesn’t go unnoticed and is appreciated by everyone there.

And to Bec, my wife, thank you for everything you do before and during these clinics. There’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes to make these days run smoothly, and your input, support, and effort are a massive part of it all. I appreciate you more than you know, and I think everyone else does too.

Thank you again to everyone who came along and trusted me to help you and your horses. Looking forward to the next one.

Pyramid Hill 2 Day Clinic!

We started things off with a full day of lessons on Friday, then rolled straight into our clinic over the next two days with a really great group of people.

It was a pretty special few days. Watching everyone show up, put the effort in, work through things, and support each other—it’s what makes these clinics what they are. There were some really nice breakthroughs and a lot of solid progress across the board.

Huge thank you to Bec for stepping in wherever she was needed throughout the clinic to help anyone that needed. Also for everything she did behind the scenes to make sure everyone was looked after. It makes a big difference and I really appreciate it.

Thanks so much to Lindee, Belinda and Dorothy for the amazing lunches and morning teas, and to the team at the Local Coffee Bank Café for a great dinner.

And a massive thank you again to Belinda for all the work she puts into organising these clinics. There’s a lot that goes on in the background, and her effort and generosity over the two days doesn’t go unnoticed.

We were lucky with the weather for the first couple of days, but the third started with some pretty heavy rain. We took the opportunity to slow things down and run a theory session instead. I really enjoyed that side of it, and I hope everyone else did too—it’s an important piece of the puzzle.

Really appreciate everyone who came along and got involved.

A weekend spent giving lessons to a great group in St Helens, Tasmania… without even leaving our living room.

Pretty wild what’s possible now. Using Pivo, we were able to stay connected, work through things in real time, and keep everyone progressing with their horses. It was awesome to see you all out there making the most of the sunshine and putting in the effort.

Big thanks to Tara for organising everything and making it run smoothly on the ground.

Another great one-day clinic at Lethbridge Equestrian Centre wrapped up.

Days like this are a good reminder of what can happen when people show up with an open mind and a willingness to try something different. There was plenty of effort put in across the board, and it showed in the progress we saw throughout the day.

A big thank you to Libby for keeping everyone well fed — the soup, quiches, and slices didn’t last long for a reason. And to Coralie, who once again volunteered her time to make sure everyone was looked after, it never goes unnoticed and it’s a big part of what makes these clinics what they are.

And of course, Bec — for everything she does behind the scenes and on the day. From organising, to photos, to stepping in wherever needed to keep things running smoothly. It’s a team effort, and she’s a huge part of it.

To everyone who came along, well done. You put in the effort to learn, to step outside your comfort zone, and to really start applying these methods and techniques in your horsemanship.

Keep going from here. Don’t stop at what you learned on the day — keep searching, keep asking questions, and keep looking for ways to truly connect with your horses.

That’s where the real change happens.
