One of our customers purchased a Picnic Rug to use as a blanket on her home bed.
Lisa's story was, when she was young, just moved out of home and had very little bedding 20 odd years ago. Decided in continually cold desperation one night to use one of her lined horse rugs to make the nights bearable, Lisa said she had been looking for one for a blanket since.
Luckily for her (and Cats😄), she found our Picnic Rugs for sale.
Lisa's quote "I used the rug through the rest of winter, it was toasty and I couldn't get the cats off it most days"

This year marks quite a significant milestone for Saul Swags, Hal doesn't remember which month he started making his iconic Swags in 1975, so we will go with the start of the FY.
That means today marks the 50th anniversary of Saul Swags 🎉 Also means 5 years ago today, we started and continued on from when Hal left left his business in our hands.
Im not sure if Hal ever thought his business would go this far (with a long way to go), but here we are.
We feel very lucky to be the custodians of Saul Swags 😊 and quite privileged to continue making his true traditional style swag, unchanged from 50 years ago (except the head cover being slightly wider)
There is a reason they have stood the test of time, as they are/have always been hand made here in Tawonga, from wholly Australian Made Canvas 🇭🇲. There is nothing to break or fail on our swags, which means they always have had a 100% lifetime guarantee.👌
Hal is going well and moved out of the Valley 4ish years ago, we regularly talk/catch up as he is still so interested in how we are going and brings some of our materials up to us from Melbourne, and even drops in on us at field days.
Of course, this business would not have succeeded without our customers 👍 who want and know the quality they expect, and it's so pleasing in this day and age of imported rubbish coming into Australia that our customers appreciate, and still want wholly Australian Made Swags, that will out last them. Thank you to each and every one of you who have brought a Saul Swag or any of the other many different products over the last 50 years.

Had a great day out today in the fresh low Snow in our mountains, with some of the team members from the Average Joe's Ringwood RSL Team who where up visiting our Daughter, Lisa as she is a member of the team.
The team will be competing again this October in QLD at the annual Veterans Games, which we very proudly sponsor.
