After 27 rounds and 52 tippers, our 2026 Tathra Footy Tipping Competition has come down to the wire!

⛳️ TATHRA LADIES ON TOUR – BERMAGUI OPEN ⛳️

Nine of our Tathra ladies headed north over the weekend for the Bermagui Open, played across Saturday and Sunday.

It certainly wasn’t an easy weekend of golf, with strong winds and some very quick greens providing plenty of challenges! But as always, these weekends are about much more than what ends up on the scorecard – it was a lovely opportunity to enjoy some golf, catch up with old friends, make some new ones and enjoy the company of ladies from other clubs.

On Saturday, Pene Butt and Amanda Radford both finished with 42 points, each picking up a ball for their efforts. 👏

Saturday night brought everyone together for dinner and trivia, which was very well organised and included plenty of laughs.

Sunday was back to the course for a Stroke round. There were no Tathra winners on the golf course this time around, although Marg Nall did manage to make sure Tathra didn’t come home completely empty-handed by picking up a raffle prize! 😄

A great weekend away for our nine ladies, with plenty of golf, friendship and laughs along the way.

Thanks to Bermagui Country Club and everyone involved in putting together such an enjoyable weekend. ⛳️🏌️‍♀️

⛳️ MONDAY 9-HOLERS RESULTS

A slightly cool spring morning at Tathra today, with 12 ladies heading out to play the back nine for our Monday 9-Holers.

The Monday 9-Holers really is one of the easiest ways to enjoy golf at Tathra.

Whether you already play competitions regularly, you’re just getting back into golf, or you’ve never played before but would love to give it a go, you’re very welcome.

It’s relaxed, friendly and definitely not about serious competition. There are plenty of experienced golfing ladies in the group who are more than happy to help along the way — whether it’s answering questions, explaining a rule, sharing a few tips and tricks or simply helping you work out what to do next!

Nine holes is also a great starting point if 18 holes feels a little daunting. It’s a chance to get outside, have a hit, learn as you go and enjoy the company. ⛳️😊

We’re back next Monday at 9 am and everyone is welcome.

Come along and give it a go — you might just discover that golf is your new Monday morning thing! 🏌️‍♀️

🍷 PRODUCT OF THE WEEK – GEORGE WYNDHAM BIN 555 SHIRAZ

This week we’re putting the spotlight on a classic Aussie red — George Wyndham Bin 555 Shiraz.

A dry, full-bodied Shiraz, it’s rich and generous while still nicely balanced. Expect plenty of dark fruit character, with plum, dark cherry and blackberry flavours, a little spice and subtle vanilla oak.

🍇 A little history: George Wyndham was one of the pioneers of Australian winemaking, establishing his first vineyard in the Hunter Valley in 1828. The Bin 555 has gone on to become a long-standing Australian Shiraz favourite.

🍽️ What to pair it with?
This is one for hearty food — think steak, roast beef, lamb, BBQ meats or a rich pasta dish. The bold fruit and savoury character also make it a pretty easy red to enjoy on its own.
