Paddle Tasmania has won a grant, 'Paddle Her Way' to promote female paddling.
The West Coast Paddle Club is searching for women who are interested in becoming Flatwater Guides or Instructors. You will have two a few days of tuition and the opportunity to organise and guide some flatwater canoe trips. You dont need to be a gun paddler, just willing to have a go and learn.
The grant covers all the tuition, admin fees and more and is also a good opportunity for other people to come along as students to learn more how to paddle your own canoe.
Reach out to us in the comments if this is something you may be interested in.

Ollie & Paul checked out the Upper Little Henty River looking for an easy novice trip for west coast paddlers. Walk in from the Zeehan tip (there is a track to the river) and finish at the Henty Road bridge.
A few easy rapids and an easy start to progress to other rivers.
Should be a trip guide on Wiki Rivers soon

A few pictures from our Corinna weekend. Saturday we paddled locally to Savage River and Lovers Falls. Highlights were the wreck of the Croyden and a magnificent variety of ferns at Lovers Falls
Sunday was a longer day down to Pieman Heads & return. From a rainy start we scored a brilliant sunny day and a tail wind each way. Highlights were Pieman Heads and a great selection of water fowl.
Forgot to say - the company was pretty good too!!
