United Tarneit Sports Club (UTSC) is a community based sports club based in Tarneit, Melbourne, Victoria. UTSC is affiliated to Cricket Victoria under Western Suburbs Church Cricket Association. United Tarneit Sports club was formed to help local community to engage in sports activities which in turn will contribute to the well being of the members.

🏏 WHAT A WIN FOR THE UTSC WARRIORS! 🚀 We took down the Seabrook Raptors in an absolute thriller yesterday! Batting first, we got off to a flying start, reaching a staggering 100/0 in just 8 overs thanks to a spectacular 100-run opening partnership between Kunal (61 off 51 balls, 9x4s, 1x6) and our Man of the Match, Chetan, who smashed a blistering 69 off just 29 balls with 7 massive sixes and 5 fours. Gurtej 30 and Neerav 17 runs helped us reach the 200 mark despite a mid-innings collapse where we lost 8 wickets for 98 runs in 15 overs. A resilient 40-run 9th-wicket stand between Jag and Simran pushed our total to a highly competitive 246 all out. Our dynamic opening duo then shifted gears to the ball, stifling the Raptors to just 25 runs and picking up a wicket in the powerplay. Thanks to relentless pressure, elite fielding, and "impossible" highlight-reel catches from Prajwal and Nakul, we restricted them to 192/9 off their 35 overs. Incredible team effort and commitment from the boys all around, with Simran, Jag, and Nikhil bagging 2 wickets each, and Prajwal and Nakul chipping in with 1 apiece. UTSC Warriors secured a dominant victory over Mambourin CC, setting a massive tone by batting first and posting a mammoth total of 5/280. The innings got off to a flyer thanks to a sharp 73-run opening stand between Amit (30) and Ashish (105), which provided the perfect platform for Gurtej (68), our most consistent batsman, to further the damage through a brilliant 125-run partnership with Ashish. Senura then applied the finishing touch with a quick-fire 37* to push the score well out of reach. Defending such a total was made easier by our deep bowling rotation on a spin-friendly wicket, where we successfully bundled out the opposition for 194 in just 32 overs. Ashish once again proved to be the X-factor, replicating his heroics from last week by bagging 3 quick wickets in only 11 balls—bringing his recent tally to an incredible 6 wickets in 22 deliveries. Following his masterful 105 runs and clinical bowling display, Ashish was rightfully adjudged Man of the Match in what was an outstanding all-around team performance.

🔥 VICTORY FOR THE WARRIORS! 🔥Round 3 MCA
​UTSC Warriors secured a dominant win today against Melbourne Districts CC, finishing with a massive 5/251 before bowling the opposition out for 158. After winning the toss and electing to bat, openers Amit (58) and Ashish (28) got us off to a flyer with a 61-run stand in just 8 overs. The momentum stayed with us as the in-form batter Gurtej smashed a match-winning 70, earning himself a well-deserved Man of the Match, his second in just three outings. He was supported by solid contributions from Nirav (19), Angel (27). A late innings explosion from Senura, whose quick-fire 33* pushed us to a commanding total.
Our defense was clinical. After tight opening spells from Gursimran and Gagan, Skipper Sav broke the deadlock followed by Nakul taking 3 wickets with his swing bowling. After that our spinners took full control. Senura, Prajwal and Angel took 1 wicket each with their spin bowling but Ashish stole the show with a devastating spell of 3 wickets in just 11 balls. We wrapped up the opposition's innings in the 28th over. ​An incredible all-round team performance. Well done, boys! 🏏💪

UTSC Warriors 116 all out won against United Wyndham SC 102 all out. Round 2.
Despite a shaky start and managing a small total batting first, our boys showed incredible resilience by successfully defending it. Our innings was stabilized by crucial contributions from Nakul, who top-scored with 24, Senura with a steady 21 and a quick-fire 19 from Gursimran, providing a target that our elite bowling unit was able to defend. Proving exactly why we have one of the best bowling attack in the competition, our bowlers dismantled a strong opposition lineup with clinical precision as Gursimran Dhindsa, Jagmeet Mangat, Senura Perera and Saurav Manra each claimed two vital wickets, Nikhil took one. For Gursimran'w excellent bowling and vital contribution with the bat, he was rightly judged Man of the Match, leading the team to a spectacular and hard-fought victory. Well done boys.

The UTSC Warriors kicked off their season with a hard-fought victory against Seabrook in the MCA opening round, overcoming a treacherous, narrow pitch characterized by uneven bounce. After winning the toss and electing to bat first, the Warriors endured a shaky start that saw both openers depart by the fourth over with the score at 19, but a crucial 44-run knock from gun recruit Gurtej and a powerful 34 from "muscleman" Angel Arora anchored the team to a vital total of 146 all out in 28 overs. Recognizing that every run was gold on such a difficult surface, the Warriors' formidable bowling attack took full advantage of the conditions despite multiple rain intervals. Our successful openers Jag Mangat (2 wickets) and Gursimran (1 wicket) immediately put the opposition on the backfoot, followed by a clinical first-change spell from Nikhil, who claimed 3 wickets to dismantle the chase. The "magic spinner" Senura provided the finishing touch, bamboozling the tail to take 3 wickets in just 2 overs and bowling Seabrook out for a mere 73 runs in 17 overs. It was a disciplined team performance in a low-scoring thriller, capped off by Gurtej receiving a well-deserved Man of the Match trophy for his heroic efforts with the bat. Well done, guys—a great start to the season.

🏏 Milestones Magic at UTSC! 🏏

It’s a proud moment for the United Tarneit Sports Club (UTSC) as two of its founding pillars, Devan Ranaweera (President) and Jag Mangat (Vice President), have reached remarkable personal milestones — Devan crossing 5,000 career runs and Jag claiming 500 wickets for UTSC.

Both Devan and Jag have been instrumental not only on the field but also behind the scenes since the club’s humble beginnings. Their leadership, passion, and tireless efforts have shaped UTSC into one of the most respected and competitive community cricket clubs around. From organizing teams and fixtures to mentoring young players and keeping the club spirit alive, they’ve done it all.

These milestones are more than just numbers — they represent years of dedication, consistency, and love for the game. They serve as shining examples for every UTSC player, reminding us that hard work pays off and that age truly is just a number.
