Antoinette’s done a few challenges at tribe. But this time? She got honest with herself - about what she actually wanted.

The questions she got asked at the start were confronting. But that’s exactly why the results followed. She was hesitant about weighing in daily at first - until she realised it wasn’t about the number, it was about education. Learning to eat mindfully. Being aware of what’s going in and why.

tribe talks: Kayla.

Trainer extraordinaire, crowd favourite, and - currently - a Masters student in Exercise Physiology. Mark caught up with Kayla to find out what’s behind the coaching.

Turns out, a fair bit. Kayla’s always loved sport, but what really drives her is helping people move well and live to their best. She’s meticulous with her clients - everything she programs is evidence-based and research-backed. No guessing, just coaching.

And she’s good. High distinction in her most recent exam, for the record. The kind of brain you want in your corner.

Chances are, she’s one of the first faces you’ll see when you walk through the door - and, as Mark puts it, one of the most elegant.

Reception, member services, the friendly hello before you’ve even found your water bottle - Martha’s across all of it.

Including the lost property. And the things people leave behind will surprise you. We’re not just talking water bottles and AirPods - we’re talking one shoe. Keys. (Yep. Keys. How do you actually leave?)

She also settled a debate we didn’t know we needed: cleanest trainer goes to Jaymes Gleeson. The dirtiest? That honour belongs to Daylan. Bad luck, mate.

Next time you’re in, say hi to Martha. She’ll probably already know your name - and where you left your other shoe.

Meet Emma - down a huge 27kgs through The Shift at tribe.
She’d never put herself first. Was terrified to even start. Then an injury set her back before she’d properly begun. But she listened to Kayla, controlled what she could, and got going anyway.

Now? Life is brilliant. She shows up for her son in every way. And tribe feels like home.

45 minutes is all you get with Brett Cooper - less if you count the bit he spends turning up late.
So Mark grabbed him mid-session to find out what keeps a founding member coming back.

What does Brett actually get out of his PT sessions with Chappy? A release from work. Forty-five minutes where the emails stop, the head clears, and the only thing on the to-do list is the next set. And he makes it fun - because training shouldn’t feel like another job.

That’s the thing about one on one. It’s your 45, your goals, your coach in your corner. No guessing, just coaching.
