Wannaroo Stockhorses Wannaroo aims to breed, handle and prepare horses that are calm, intelligent, responsive, athletic and with good temperament and attitude.

Wannaroo Stock Horses is a relatively small, family owned stud operated by Glenn & Julie Cunningham. Wannaroo Stock Horses was established in 1997. It is located at Tansey, south east Queensland. Glenn and Julie have been involved with horses since early childhood, competing at Pony Club competitions, Polocrosse, and Campdrafting. Another event under our belt and another step forward for Warringah and I. ❤️

We’re starting to really find our rhythm and work together as a team, and it’s been so rewarding seeing the improvement with every event we attend.

Each competition brings a little more confidence, a better understanding of each other and, thankfully, better results along the way. It’s all about putting the miles in, learning together and enjoying the journey.

I’m really proud of how Warringah is progressing and excited to see what we can achieve as we continue to grow together. 🐎

After keeping him very much to herself, Mumma has finally decided we’re allowed to get up close and personal with her beautiful little man! 🥰 And what a gorgeous boy he is!

Strong, healthy and already stealing our hearts. ❤️

Round 2 – Gympie Saddleworld Stockman’s Challenge | Gunalda

What an amazing weekend at Gunalda competing in Round 2 of the Gympie Saddleworld Stockman’s Challenge Series!

We took four home-bred Wannaroo horses along — Wannaroo Warringah, Wannaroo Lovisa, Wannaroo Athena and Wannaroo Casanova. All four horses performed extremely well, with three producing some outstanding results.

🥈 Equal 2nd – Wet Work – Wannaroo Athena
4th Overall – Wannaroo Athena

🏆 Novice
🥈 2nd – Wet Work – Wannaroo Warringah

🏆 Classic
🥇 Equal 1st – Wet Work – Wannaroo Casanova
4th Overall – Wannaroo Casanova

It makes us incredibly proud to see horses we have bred, raised and developed going out and performing at this level. 🤎

There is nothing quite like watching your home-bred horses succeed and knowing the work and years that have gone into getting them there.

A huge thank you to the Gunalda committee, volunteers and sponsors for putting on such a fantastic event and supporting the Stockman’s Challenge Series.

A great start to the Saddleworld Stockman’s Challenge season! 🐴✨

Over the weekend we attended the first round of the Saddleworld Stockman’s Challenge, and we’re proud of how this partnership is progressing.

After my main horse was injured back in May, this horse has once again shown his ability and willingness, and we’re starting to find our rhythm together. To score an 87 in the Rookie Dry Pattern was a result we’re incredibly proud of.

It’s always rewarding to see the versatility, willingness and trainability of our quality Australian Stock Horses. Looking forward to the rest of the season! 💙🐎

Over the weekend we had a proud breeders moment whilst attending the Gympie Saddleworld Stockmans Challenge Series Round 1 at Goomeri. We had four of our own bred horses attend. They all showed incredible skill and temperament throughout the entire weekend.

Our little 5 year old mare Wannaroo Athena received third place in the rookie dry work on a 91.5!

Overall we are so proud of our horse’s temperament that we have bred through our program.

Lovely friendly gelding, with the attitude to please. Should mature 15.1 hh. Very trainable type that is always willing to please. Sire competed in several Campdraft with numerous placings. Sire has also produced many beautifully natured horses, all have been competitive, quiet and trainable. Older sibling has successfully played C Grade polocrosse. Suit challenge, Campdraft, polocrosse, show, or pleasure home.
