Sunday 22nd Feb. Crews waited patiently on Sunday morning for the wind to pick up and were rewarded when a steady 10knot noreaster arrived just after lunch.
Race Officer Mike started two races following the four yesterday and close racing ensued.
Overall winners of the Regatta were:
Hobies: John and Bronte on 18@Heart from Paddy and Courtney with Scott and Elena picking up a well deserved third.
Well done also to young men Ollie and Brodie for trying to keep White Cap pointed in the right direction.
Division two saw Steve Brewin on the Brewin Sails foiling A ahead of Adam and Jade on the taipan Harken WIP. Jarrod on the AUS21 kept everyone honest and Sam and Saxon fought hard on the JustPlay taipan.
The F18s saw Michael and Emily clear winners ahead of Zac and Jay on Lost Diamond, then Pete and Bailey on the Douglas Adams cruiser Mostly Harmless.
Mick made special mention of Nigel and Toby on the F16 Sully for their determined effort.
Tanilba Bay Sailing Club always appreciate the crews and families who visit our special location and hope you will all come again.

Saturday 21st Feb. Day 1 of the Big Boat Regatta sponsored by Coastal Real Estate in association with BoatCrewGear.com and Tilligerry RSL Sports Club.
35 crews lined up on fantastic conditions with a steady 10-14 knot noreaster on a full tide.
Race Officer Mick organised four races for three divisions of A class foiling and classic, big and medium Nacras, sloop and cat rigged Taipans, Hobie 16s and 18s and a crowd of feisty F18s.
Teams are looking to rest overnight in anticipation of more competition tomorrow.

Friday 20th Feb. Crews and racing boats have started arriving for this weekend's Big Boat Regatta, kindly sponsored by Coastal Real Estate in association with BoatCrewGear.com and Tilligerry RSL Sports Club.
The Rescue Boat has had the onceover and Prizes picked up. Tanya and Anthony from the RSL Sports Club said they can put on the second courtesy bus if needed.
Steady winds are forecast so we are looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow.

The weather is looking perfect for the Tanilba Bay Big Boat regatta.

On Saturday night (21st Feb), we have an area booked from
6-30pm for 50 people for dinner at Tilligerry RSL & Sports Club, Reliance Blvd Tanilba Bay.
Order from the menu, live entertainment after.

Sunday 1st Feb. Bushfires to the north and west of Tanilba meant any wind would blow smoke over the lake and the forecast winds were looking tricky anyway.
Nevertheless, nine hardy crews rigged up, with two taipans, three A classes, a 58 Nacra and three fighting maris.
Skippers set out after lunch on a six knot sou'wester which strengthened to 18 then settled back to 10-12, so a course was set for one lap to Snapper.
Mick on the 151 taipan just edged Sam and Saxon on Just Play then Pa and Paul on the A's. Next were Kershy and Koby on the maris neck and neck, a good result for Kobes.
Next Wednesday we will meet at 6.30pm at the Bowlo to discuss arrangements for the Big Boat Regatta on 21-22 Feb, see you there.
