Told myself I had to make this video before I opened it.

42 kilometres of sand, trails, and elevation that I’m told you have nightmares of for weeks after.

Starting on the beaches of Port Macquarie and finishing at the top of North Brother Mountain, a climb that makes even the strongest legs shaky.

The Beach to Brother Marathon isn’t just a run.
It’s a test of endurance, patience, and grit.

With over 1,200 metres of elevation gain, battling the tides and terrain to a finish line that sits high above the coast.

For a couple of the guys it was about redemption. 12-months of working with purpose. Training in the gym, building up the km’s and working around injuries.

Proud doesn’t even begin to cover it.
To see these guys dig deep, trust the process, and cross that finish line is everything this team is about.

I had the pleasure to be there on the day offering support, Powerade’s and shoving a camera in their face.

The human body truly is incredible.

I love seeing people hit goals.

Rick had a nasty back injury last year, and once he was cleared to lift again, he set the goal of squatting his body weight, deadlifting triple digits, and running a marathon — all within 2 weeks of each other.

We started with the rehab portion of the program and building the kms back. Then we brought the big lifts back in and slowly progressed the weight each week.

We set a date a week before the marathon to have a mock powerlifting session, hitting a top single in his squat and deadlift.

He smashed both lifting goals, but unfortunately the weather stopped the marathon. So he ran a quick 10km and is set to run 2 marathons very soon.

Stoked to coach Rick — and every single weapon I work with — to do incredible things.

Your goals matter, and I’m grateful to be part of them every week.

Big congrats to the team who got involved in the Tamworth Running Festival.

It was a hard start to the morning with changes happening. But it was great to see everyone smash out PB’s in their 10km run.

Huge thanks to the TRF organisers who did amazing job to get this up and running ‘no pun intended’ with Rain, Snow and Floods impacting the weekend.

Jas wanted to drop 11kg before her 25th.
Concerts, road trips, floods… life didn’t exactly make it easy.
But she stuck it out, packed meals, hit PBs, and hit the goal bang on.
Proud coach moment!
Who resists KFC eaten in front of them ? Mental.

Your brain is loudest right before you do the thing.
That’s when the fear and worry is the biggest.
“What if I fail?”
“What if I can’t do it?”
“What if everyone sees me mess up?”

That’s the peak.
But here’s the wild part: it’s always the worst right before you start.

Then you take one small step.
You send the message.
You walk in the gym.
You hit publish.
And everything gets quieter.

Your brain calms down, because now you’re in it.
Now it has a job to do.
Action turns down the volume on fear.

I can prove it to you.
The last time something bad happened, I bet you dealt with it.
It sucked, but you took care of it.
You came out the other side — and you will this time too.

So if it feels loud right now, that’s okay.
That means you’re close.

Just take the step.

Listening to tunes and making a coffee whilst I work is legit one of my favourite things to do. I know i’m not the only one.

If this is old age, then I dig it.
