Yesterday Maverick and Steve headed to Lockyer Valley Speedway for the SunState Speedway Karts Presidents Cup. After some very hard racing in the heats and an engine change for Steve he managed to come away with the win.

Yesterday Maverick and Steve headed to Lockyer valley speedway for a round of the SunState Speedway Karts meeting.
Maverick had his best meeting yet winning all 3 heats. Which mean starting from pole in the A main. After a somewhat contentious start he ended up 2nd. This ment he beat his dad which made him more happy. 😆

Steve had a alright day with a 2nd , 3rd and 3rd in heats. Starting 3rd in A main and getting caught up in the start he finished in 3rd.

On Saturday Maverick and Steve headed to Nudgee for the last meeting before the QLD titles to be held there on the 11th & 12th October. This was also the first time they got to race together as Maverick has moved up to seniors.

8th - 4th beat Steve

6th - 4th

4th - 2nd

3rd - 2nd
Heat 3
8th - 5th

A Main Maverick started 6th and was running 4th behind Steve before being punted and ended up 6th. He had passed Steve on a restart but got put back.

Steve started 4th and finished in 2nd.
So Dad 1 Son Nil

On Saturday we made the trip up to Maryborough speedway for Maverick to run his first race in seniors. He was running the class “standard light” and was starting rear of field all day due to it being his first race in seniors. The weekend went amazing and ended with a podium.

Heat 1: 10th - 5th
Heat 2: 10th - 4th
Heat 3 5th- 4th
Feature: 4th- 3rd

Yesterday Steve headed to Nudgee for the first race of the season.
Heat 1 7th-5th finished 3rd but got put back 2 spots
Heat 2 3rd-2nd
Heat 3 5th-3rd
Feature 4th-2nd

Maverick couldn’t race as he has a broken foot.
Next meeting 9th August

On Saturday Maverick and Steve went to Bundaberg for the last round of the tri series.

Maverick
1st heat started 1st finished 2nd
2nd heat start 5th finished 4th
3rd heat start 3rd finished 4th
Feature started 4th finished 4th
Overall tri series finished 3rd. Great result

Steve
1st heat started 2nd finished 1st
2nd heat started 8th finished 3rd
3rd heat started 7th finished 1st
Feature started 1st and finished 1st

Overall tri series finished 2nd

Yesterday Maverick and Steve headed to Maryborough for the second round of the tri track series.
Maverick
1st heat started 2nd Finished 4th
2nd and 3rd heats motor didn’t run properly so we changed engines but still seemed to have a problem so finished 5th in those heats and the feature. Bit of a disappointing day.

Steve
1st heat start 2nd and had a win
2nd and 3rd heats lost a chain in both as track was rough so a dnf in both
Feature started 4th and coming for the finish line was going for the win but ended up 2nd. Not a bad way to finish a pretty s**t day.
